Sorry to have to say this to you I can feel the pain in your post but the truth is nobody can make him stop drinking.....
He is an alcoholic that means he has to drink and he no longer has a choice of stopping.....
A DUI or something bad may have to happen before anything will change...no one really knows when the light goes on in someones head telling them that what there doing is wrong and not only is he hurting himself but he is leaving victims all around him.
family members are usually the ones effected the most....
I am truly sorry that your going through this he needs to detox and go into a alcohol inpatient facility....
You will have a tough time convincing him of that he will fight you all the way and tell you he does not have a problem and turn it on you tell you your the one with the problem......
I wish you the best in these tough times......
Its very difficult for love ones sometimes to understand and put a rational explanation on an irrational problem.......
Non addicted people struggle with addictions of loved ones.....educating themselves helps tremendously........
