My legs and arms are crawling.

My legs and arms are crawling.

I've been trying to sleep for a couple of hours, but when I try to lie still my body just crawls.

how much longer?
I am in agony here.

10-12 vicodin a day for years.

That particular symptom lasted a long while for me.  The only thing that seemed to help it in my legs was a heating pad wrapped around them.  It didn't take it away, but it did help to keep my mind off of it.  I'm sorry you've got to go through this, but good things will come from it Sarah.  Keep up the good work!

Aw.honey it will be better real soon. Day 5 is usually the day you start feeling a little more human.
I suggest really hot baths right before bed, and a heating pad helps the legs. there is also this homeopathic stuff called Hylands Restful Legs and Hylands leg cramps that helps. They sell it at CVS or walgreens.
Bananas and taking potassium also helps with the creepy crawlies..

Hope you start to feel better soon.. I know how hard it is but it does get better.. alot better. I will have 10 months soon.. this will be worth it I promise

I'm not sure if you were getting your meds prescribed or not, but if you were, you can ask your dr for clonodine or neurontin to help with that feeling... Also a HOT bath will temporarily help- even if it's only long enough for you to fall asleep! The other poster recommended hylands which also works very well.

TY

I did pick up the Hylands Restful Legs. And Potassiom and Melatonin.
Was hoping for a better night, but no help.

I actually left work today and  I NEVER do that.
I never call in sick either. but will probably do so tomorrow.

I have about a 100 vicodins here, and it's so hard because I know a couple would fix me right up.

But I truly think they have changed me.
I have little desire for anything anymore.

I find that a few potassium supplement pills and a couple of aleve do the trick for me. I have the same problem.

Flush them.. you will give in at some point if you have them. It you can't bear to flush them is there someone you can give them to???  I had 4-5 left when I quit and i gave them to my hubby, in the almost 10 months I have been clean I never asked what he did with them. Its better if you don't have the temptation.
