My story

My story

I am into my 7th time and 2nd day of quitting (over a 7 year period), but i vow that this is the last time. I wanna get back to the gym and i want my energy back and i know from expereince that w/d's go away sooner then you think and when they do, you get your energy back and you slowly start to feel your motivation for life coming back.
My goal is to "hibernate" for one full week so I dont hurt anyone around me (there are already holes in my walls and my girlfriend has left me, hahaha) and then the next week I will drink nothing but water and eat nothing but veggies and fruits to clean myself out and then go for a physical to see what damage i have done to myself over the years...
My question to one of you is.. How much damage could I have done? I understand that it is bad for your kidneys and liver, but I need the full scoop on what years of painpill abuse does to your body, this way I dont get any surprises when i go to the clinic (lol).

4 days is good man, means the worst of the bullcrap is done so stay with it this time, you have to...... I dont have any pains really anywhere, maybe the odd pain in my kidney region. Ive had chest pains, but thats before my addiction got out of hand. The worst effect that I feel is im always tired and have a hard time being around the people i used to feel so freely around. its quite sad actually.
another question.. what could the brain effects be?? I understand pot kills braincells (god bless pot eh) but what does pain pills do to your brain?

p.s(work fricken sucks lately. hahahahaha)

First off, let me say that I am no doctor and everything I tell you is of my opinion.

You need to just go and get checked out. How much damage you have done to your body depends on exactly what you used, how you used it, and how much.

Any pain pill isn't good for your liver, if your taking the the amount I was (a lot).  If you were into taking hydros, or anything with tylenol in it, your liver pays a price.  If you were injecting at all, its important you get checked for HIV/Hep C.  Even if you didn't share needles, I can't stress this enough.

Now my advice to you is to get some real help from someone who has been where you are right now.  These forums are a real blessing, but they will never take the place of one on one work with another addict face to face.

I'll keep you in my prayer.  Let me know if you have any more questions.

hahahah crappy man.... c forster thanks brother (if your guy.. thanks sister if your a girl).
K, i've used perks, lots and lots of oxy's, tylenol 3's and these other things that said "cdn 20" on it. Apparently they are oxys, but they are different from the oxy's i used to take... As for hydro, Im  not even sure what hydro is and i dont think i have ever taken it....

No needles.. Just alot of partying with sometimes party drugs. Although, im out of the party stage, the painpill stage is next, and im gonna do it cause if i dont then im pretty much dead to this world.

You got that right.  I know I was a walking dead person. Wished I was dead most of the time.  I don't want anyone to have to go through and make the same mistakes I did, so if you have any questions feel free.  It helps me more than it helps you, trust me.

Can the liver repair itself do you know? or does it just not get any worse when you quit vicodin?

It is my understanding that the liver can repair itself, if its given the time to do so.  I.E by not using/drinking and letting your body do what it does best.  However, some people have to go to a specialist (me) to get help with the long term damage they have done to their body.

No matter the advice given here, you need to see a doctor.
