Hello and welcome to the forum.. depending on how many loritabs you are taking.. as you may have to taper off of this.. quitting oxy will put you in wd enough that you may need a couple of days off.. the symptoms could be passed off as the flu as most do not catch on to the rls..  although I usually never advice one drug to come off another.. you can use the loritab to help with the wd from oxy then bite the bullet coming off the loritabs.. it can be done and is so worth freeing ourselves of our addiction.. stay around for support.. more will be along with advice.. I wish you well.. and remember a addict is only as sick as our secrets.. take care.. lesa

I would use the loratab to come off the oxy then ween yourself off the hydro.I am going cold turkey off of hydro right now and it is no fun,but worth it.I wish I had enough will power to taper.I have not told my husband or children they think I have the flu.

I tried to do this, but I own a business, and have to be there every day.  I'm going to have to make a plan some how.  My business requires alot of time and money every day has to be there to start.  Thanks though I will be in touch when I can get the help to be allowed a weak off.  Thank you again.

Can you take weekends off?
If you can taper with the lortabs, do it slowly.
And, plan on your last dose being a Thursday afternoon.
That way, Friday will suck, but you won't have to be at work Saturday and Sunday. Those will probably be the two worst days.
The next week won't be fun, but you'll be on your way...

Really wanting to quit is the first step, and then coming up with a plan and goals helps immensely!

I tried to quiy opiots yesterday, just one day, but my business requires me to be there everyday with a money bag, alot more other duties.  I have not one person yet to take this responsibility, nor do I have one person to help me with my kids while I WD.  I'm going to have to trust someone with my business for a weak.  Lord only knows who that could be.  Thats alot of responsibility and trust.  I could lose alot of money.  Thank you anyway for the input.

If you could taper down. You would feel a little different, but in no way would you not be able to work. I've been tapering for 4 weeks now.
I was at 15 norco (10/325 hydro) per day. now, i'm down to 1/2 pill every 16 hours...almost done!
and little to no physical wds.
i've been riding the mental roller coaster, but not as badly as i've been through before.

i'd suggest, from my experience, adding an hour between doses every 4 days.

for example, i was taking 10mg hydro every 1 1/2 hours. well, i cut down to every 2 hours for 4 days...then, every 3 hours for 4 days...then, every 4 hours for 4 days...and so on.
at that point, i started taking 5mg at a time to get my body used to a smaller dose.

you can do it if you fight!
you have to want to.
good luck!
