Hi I am very new to this site, but really need a bit of advise from anyone!
I have on and off taken N+ no more that 16 a day at my worse for about 6 months. I also drink heavily. I have had a wake up call and want to give both up (I gave up alcohol for first 2 weeks of Jan so I know I can do it!)
I took 8 in total yesterday the last 4 at 12 midday. I am determined not to take any more from now on.
I have never looked up until now the awful things that can happen. I am really scared I have damaged my body can any one advise me... I am never taking them again but am still scared!

Thanks so much well done you that's brilliant for you- I drink loads of water (I've always thought somehow that would make up for the bad stuff!)

I will look at the thomas recipe as well - I had no idea about this website until earlier I have to say it is nice when you don't feel alone!

I took 30 tablets a day for 8 years, I stopped just over a month ago.  I didn;t go cold turkey but rather tapered for 2 months and stopped once I got to 15 mg a day from 382mg a day.  I still have some problems with sleep and my stomach plus I have a really irritation cough that just won't leave but I feel pretty good now.  Be prepared for the withdrawals, have a look at the thomas recipe on this website and make sure you drink plenty of water.

nurofen plus is a combination of codiene 12.8mg plus ibuprofen 200mg each tablet.
