NITROUS OXIDE

I HAVE A HISTORY OF TROUBLE WITH MY TEETH AND GUMS, AND MUST HAVE THEM CLEANED EVERY 3 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD VERY BAD EXPERIENCES WITH DESTISTRY IN THE PAST, AND HAVE SUCH A FEAR THAT I MUST BE GIVEN NITROUS OXIDE FOR EVERY PROCEDURE, INCLUDING CLEANING. DOES THE USE OF THIS EVERY THREE MONTHS PRESENT ANY DANGER TO ME?
