NOT SURE WHERE TO START

TWO YEARS AGO, I DIED, HAD MAJOR SURGEY AND THE DOCTORS BROUGHT ME BACK. I HAD ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS AFTER BUT I AM ALIVE. THEY HAVE ME ON ALLKINDS OF MEDS. THEY SAY THAT SOME OF THE PROBLEMS ARE A RESULT OF ALL THE DRUGS THAT I AM ON ( i take 5 to 7 hydrocod 10/325, 3 hydroxyzine pan 25, 2 lyrica 300, and 2 requip .25 every day). THE PAIN IS INTENCE AND IS THERE 24/7, I DON'T LIKE WHAT  IS GOING AND I WOULD LIKE THE PAIN TO STOP AND BEABLE TO THINK ALSO. WHAT MAKES IT HARD IS THAT I AM A SINGLE PARENT(FATHER) OF TWO SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN 14 AND 8 YEARS OLD

sweety, i'm not sure then that anyone on this board can help you, if you don't want help for addiction... i wish we could!!

i think there's another board for pain management - maybe that one is worth a shot?  not to discourage you from chatting here, but everyone here is trying to get off of the pills or stay off of them, there that is pretty much the only information you'll be able to get here...

hey buddy, have you consulted a few doctors to see if there is another way of managing your pain?

if i'm reading your post correctly, you'd like to get off the narcotics (??) but also need pain relief, right?

(and i am hitting the hay soon buddy, so if you post and i don't post back, i will look for you manana!)

you have come to the right place if you are looking for help.. there are alot of wonderful, caring people here who would be really happy to help you..  we're like one big happy dysfunctional family!! ;-)

GOOD LUCK STOPING. I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING I DROVE MY CAR OFFTHE ROAD AND FELL ASLEEP A BUNCH OF OTHER TIMES. THEIR IS NO ONE TO DRIVE ME TO THE DOCTORS EVERY TIME THAT I TELLTHE DOCTORS WHAT IS GOING ON THEIR ANS. IS TO GO IN A HOSPITAL LONG TERM BUT I HAVE NO ONE TO WATCH THE CHILDREN

Wow- you have a big meaning in this life- BIG!  If the pain is that intense, maybe there is something else they can put you on to help w/ the pain but keep you from feeling the way you do.  They always say (Dr.'s) "It only take's the edge off- but won't take it away completely"- so maybe it would benefit you to get on something else- or something not as strong. I don't know- for someone like you- who is honestly taking meds because you're hurting so bad- maybe now isn't the time.... but I don't know.  I am trying to get off this **** too. I know you are probably a really good Dad, and would do anything for those 2 beautiful kids.  I am a Mom- a GREAT Mom- and can't seem to kick this ****.  We do crazy things.... Although in your case- it may be all you can for now.  I really do wish you the best of luck in finding your way.  I hope you feel better soon too :)
