Need Clonidine by Tomorrow

Can I just go into a doctor and say "hey I'm detoxing this weekend I need some clonidine"?
Just curious as to how to attack this. I think it will
Help me a lot this weekend. But do I just straight up go into a doctor and spill it like that? I have moved so It will be a brand new doctor. And I'm probably paying cash since I don't want any record of any of this on my insurance so no work issues.
Should I look for an addiction place or doctor or a general practice doctor?
Any ideas welcome.

I was going to suggest you try urgent care or the emergency room if necessary.   You will have to tell them right away that you are wanting help getting off the opiates so they don't think you are there seeking more.

No luck? Then go to Urgent Care. Here on the east side I recently took my wife to an UC center and she immediately saw a doctor (not for detox). Our 3 big health systems here in the Detroit ADI have them all over. Also, I know that some Krogers and CVS stores have $60 to $80 walk-in clinics, but there you'll see a PA not an MD. I'm not sure what they can do with prescription writing..

I completely agree with the above posters.  If you can have the support of your doc during detox, that's great.  You don't really need to go to a specialist, just your regular doctor.

Just go in and say exactly what you're doing, that you're planning to detox this weekend and would like any kind of help your doc can offer to help make it more bearable.  You can mention clonidine by name...just don't be super pushy or demanding about it.  Some docs get irked by that and will not Rx it simply to be spiteful (which I don't always agree with...an educated patient is excellent).

Tell him you've done some research about it and you've read a lot of positive things about it.  Be sure to write down any questions or requests you have, so you don't forget anything.

While you're there, you can also ask for a referral to an outpatient addiction counselor, or the like.  Any kind of support you can get would be great!  Sending you lots of popsitive thoughts...I'll be watching your progress.  Be very proud of yourself for making the decision to take the first step!  Way to go!

I second that.  Go in, tell them you are detoxing from opiates and are needing some help with that.  That you have heard there are medications such as clonodine that can help.

Our Doctors are there to help. Detoxing is a highly positive act on your behalf. I would tell the doctor I'm detoxing and stop there, waiting to see what he/she says. I'm always thinking they have their own individual mind-set on how they act on a certain problem. If Clonidine isn't mentioned, then ask about it. I know where you're coming from - Google our HIPPA laws here in MI. Your conversation can't go any further without your permission if I'm not mistaken.
