Antibiotics is a must to reduce risk of infection, ibuprofen is really good because it has an anti-inflammatory agent in it which is great dealing with toothaches and gum problems. Once they are out most of his problem will be over.

I agree with beenthere....If they are already out, the pain is not usually bad enough for narcotics....I had mine done, and did fine with ibuprofen

Thank you - my boyfriend read these and I think it helped him realize that one pain pill could be too many!! Wish us luck and a prayer or two about the whole situation would be great. Thank you again!!
i had a disk replaced i my jaw and i am taking the 800 ib it is working good, good luck
Yup...good news is...having teeth extracted doesn't really hurt all that much. The dentist can give a perscription for a strong ibuphrophen (like Advil) and perhaps some antibiotics if there's any infection. I've had 3 wisdom teeth pulled (all at once) and a couple other extractions and it's never as bad as we think it's going to be. So...you shouldn't worry to much...he wont be in that much pain.
Hope this helps and all goes well!

The dentist should give him something after the procedure....i agee w/ gtmi...ask for that!!
Ask the dentist for Ibuprofen 800mg. It works as well as most pain killers. I like to take the day of the procedure and after.
