When I was going through anxiety therapy a while back, my doctor gave me some buspar samples to try after I was weaned off of klonopin.  I tried it once or twice and I didn't really notice any difference in how I felt either time I took it. I opted for not taking medication at all.   My doctor did tell me it takes 2 to 3 weeks to feel the full effects of Buspar.  Since my therapy was effective enough to keep the anxiety at bay,  I decided to leave well enough alone and not pursue this drug any further.   To answer your question,  I didn't really give it enough of a chance to find out if it was helpful or not.  In regard to the klonopin, I weaned off of that over a fairly long period of time, and had some withdrawals, but they were minor.  The key is to go slow and take small steps down, stabilize and then step down again.  You just can't rush it or you'll be miserable.

Hope this helps!
Keep posting so we know how you're doing!

Well wishes to you...
