Neurontin and Insomnia

I started taking Neurontin on the 20th and was up to full dose 9/23 (9 pills a day 100mg ea) I am experiencing Anxiety which is listed as a side feect but I am also experiencing insomnia and nightmares. I can sleep with medication but it is very fitfull and full of nightmares. Does anyone have any experience with Neurontin for pain NOT seizures?

I took it for the RLS and had no problems, but i hear there is a big lawsuit against the medication..

my step dad was on that stuff before he killed himself....it was partly his high med combo that I blame for his death and also his depression and mental issues.

i am a registered nurse and it is prescribed frequently for pain. i have from my patients, heard that it is not very effective for pain control. i use it when detoxing because it does help with w/d symptoms. it will help you sleep but does have se of the nightmares you describe. it should only be used short term as it can have more serious side effects such as cardiac complications. caution with this med.
