Yes, when I switched to a lesser medication I had night sweats every night for 7 months.  It really sucks, but is normal.

If you use clonidine, it will alleviate most if not all of the night sweats.

God, we had to change the sheets during the night because I sweated so much I was soaking the bed last time. I'd double up a sheet and use it as an "in between" (half under, half top) so I could just pull it off the bed in the night without waking up to much. Sweats is why hospital detox's keep the a/c turned up so high.

You might want to put a plastic "tarp" down if you're sweating enough to wet the mattress. It's "REALLY" bad for it, and you, health wise. Plus, it takes a while for it to dry out, longer than a day (I had sweats REALLY bad!)

I think I tried a diuretic tea or something that did help. Also started sleeping on top of the blankets to...which I hate, but what are ya gonna do?

Damn thats crazy, but i'm lucky enough that i'm not sweating that bad just enough to wake up and think I have a minor fever, but it's gross...How long do you think it last or is everyone diffrent. I've been on sub. for a month (very low dose) .5mg....

Well...I was cold turkey at the time...I'd guess it shouldn't be more than a week or two, either way. But if you're tapering, it might just keep happening as you go down until your totally off. The only good thing about the sweats is when you come totally off, it is moving the toxins out of your body really fast. But otherwise...it is very gross and yucky. :(
