Nitrous oxide, ocycontin, effexor, body shut down

About ten years ago I eas in a deep depression. I had been prescribed OCY for my back pain, Effexor for my anxiety a few other blood pressure medicines. I obtained a hospital grade tank of Nitros oxide and was taking hits off of that to try to feel better. I noticed the regulator was putting out little micro bits of brass into the tube I was hitting off of. after a few weeks I had shortness of breath and felt like I was going to faint. I was sweating a lot. I thought I might be having a heart attack and went to the ER. They said by blood oxygen was in the 80s and put me on oxygen. I was not any better so they gave me a MIR test of my lungs by enjecting a large amount of some kind of die solutision just as the MRI was taking place. After I had that solutision I went crazy. They had to tye me down on the gurdy as I kept trying to rip out my IVs and get up. I don;t know why I was doing this. I was not hostile but out of my mind. They put me in intensive care and said my body systems were just shutting down. I didn't know where I was and was having halutionations. They could not fing anything thing on my tests so they just kept monitoring me. After a few days I came out of it and started to get back to normal. The doctord asked me if anyone could have given me a drug without me knowing it. I said no because I was in my house for the previous days. They dischaged me after five days without knowing what happened to me. The only thing I can think of is hurting my lungs with the nitro oxide or inhaling the heavy mettle brass into my lungs.
After a few weeks I went to my doctor and asked him what happened to me. He just said all my body functions were shutting down for some unknown reason. I had a full recovery and this has never happened again.
Has anyone every experienced anything like this?

I didn't know you could take nitrous oxide with you to your home.  I had no idea.  I hope someone else comes along and helps, but I have no idea how to answer this.  Sorry.

It was a long time ago and i guess i'll just be a mistry what really happeend to me. I think it was the brass bits i inhaled ot the Nitros oxide. I'm in Alaska and we can get allmost anything we want, I told the company it was for my car and the gave me a medical grade tank of Nitros oxide. It was a stupid thing to do but I was not in a right state of mind of the time.
