Noise in my head

Well the only prior brain chemistry problems I could have had is smoking a lot of weed which caused me to hallucinate, have delusions, and lose my memory but I have quit for over 2.5 months.

Sometimes I hear a noise in the back of my head.  If you were to push down on your hair real hard and rub your hair the crackling noise of hairs pushing against each other is what it sounds like.  Also if you put your finger nail on the back of your head and scratch it also sounds like that.  The back of the head that is, it sounds different on other areas of the head.  I know this may sound different for different types of hair but there is no other way I can explain it.

I hear this noise 5-10 time a day and its real annoying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm real scared this could be a serious problem.
I don't expect to find a way to make it stop although that would be awesome; I'd just like to be assured it isn't something dangerous.

Hope you are still on your quit. I been off  it for 295 days now. I dont know but you may have tinnitus. Its a ringing in the ears. also known as "boilermakers deafness"

This is what I know from my own experience  - remember when listening to music was somehow special when stoned? thats because - the part of your ear drum that conveys sound through vibration was extra sensitive courtesy of the drugs ingredients

Trouble is when you stop smoking pot - it doesnt stop vibrating and as if you had overexposed yourself to sound/noise/music. You probably have a hearing loss too?

Anyways - try not to stress about it - hearing loss was best put to me by an audiologist when he said "we all get a turn" its just that our turn has come sooner / younger. There is no cure. Staying away from smoking has improved my hearing and I'm just used to the ringing now. I protect my hearing now - like I should have when I was younger. You see I'm a musician.

Well I guess compared to Marijuana any addiction is hard to stop.  Marijuana is not that hard to quit.
