Your alternative is a great idea!!!
Best advice ever~~ whatever floats your boat! Their are no SET IN STONE right or wrong ways to go about it BUT your clean days are something to be extremely proud of, something we all fight very hard for..
Congrats on quitting! Keep pushing forward! Make today count :)
I just remember that every friday is another 7 days. I last used on Feb 14th so every friday is another 7. Today I have 11 weeks...77days. Whatever works for you as long as you stay clean. I like to take it one day at a time. So I dont take on to much at once.
The tracker is a great feature! Set it and forget it! And yes you can always reset it but think positive!
I agree with Motye......do whatever floats your boat~
In the beginning, I was counting hours! :) Then days. Whatever floats your boat and keeps you moving forward I say! You do what YOU need to do to stay clean!
I like counting the days, it reminds me how far I've come. It also reminds me of the time I'd be giving up if I relapsed. I don't think I'll do it after a year, I'll just start counting the years.!!
I am at about two years, and I never liked counting days. I deleted my tracker at one year and haven't kept track since then. A lot of people do it though, maybe try it and see how it suits you.
I'm newer here and didn't realize there was a tracker. Great tool! If you slip up, do you recount? Thanks for the comments:)
I think that is great to focus on the great things that happened. I like the tracker so that I can feel a sense of accomplishment. Also, as Vic stated, we get to a point where we forget and it's nice to be able to check the days every now and then and be amazed at how much time has passed.
God bless you!
Good for you, but at first it gives you hope and then as time goes bye you forget your days sometimes..This is why we have a Tracker on here..Just so you can go and check it out when you want to..
Bless
