Not doing well

I went to the pain clinic on Wed. My father in law got sick and was rushed to the hospital that same day. He was put in ICU and was on all kinds of tubes. He died Thursday of a heart attack. Poor man, he was so good. The pain clinic put me on Gabapentin 600 mg X 3 per day. Plus two other anti- inflamatories. I feel ok, but am in a lot of pain. Cleaning, cooking, baking for the service on Monday. I am in so much pain. The Dr. ordered an x-ray of my cervical spine. PT for my neck. And he said his office would call me in 2 weeks to set up an apt. for spinal injections. God how I wish I had some pills...I am in so much pain. But you gotta do what you gotta do. So you probably won't hear from me for awhile. People flying in from all over...Plus having to be strong for my husband. Just please pray for me. I know God doesn't give us more than we can handle right? Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Kat, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. When you get to the other side of all this you'll that much stronger!!! The Lord will help you through it all. Just be sure you take time to rest and pray. Remember you would hurt and be sad even with the pills, but you can be proud you made it without them  Don't be afraid to ask for help either. God Bless and Comfort you.

your right god doesn't give u more then you can handle.  I will pray for you and your family.  I know the pain and it ***** in the moment but think of all the other thing you are having to do for everyone else and how little you would be able to do if you were to medicated.  Focus on your tasks at hand and try to forget about the pain as best as you can.  Trust me I know what your going through and have complete sympathy for you.  I wish you all the best and that god will touch you in a way that will help you get through this.
