OK heading into day 5 and still w/d's but slightly better

I still have the anxiety and sleeplessness and restlessness but somehow it seems to be more manageable. Last night I nearly used again, but managed through every bit of my resolve not to. After a drunk driver rammed into my parked Audi (12 years old but my pride and joy) last night and then sped away through red traffic lights at the end of the street,leaving $5000 damage behind, I spent the  entire night in such a severe depression. It was the longest night since starting the c/t. My next door neighbor was on the street at the time so took down the guys registration number, so most of the night was alternating between talking to the police and trying not to use. My neighbor God bless his heart, jumped in his car and chased after him. Half an hour later the guy was caught and I learned he has no insurance, and the thing that really sux is that neither do I. My car has been my salvation since this c/t thing has started, so the rest of the night wa spent totally sleepless and alternating between deep depression and considering using.Well here I am today, the day after and I havnt touched anything except 3 aspirin.
I now know there is no doubt. Im going to make it. Not sure what Im going to do about a car now but Im alive,I have a roof over my head,I have all my limbs intact...and Im clean ! Nothing else matters

Congrats on your 5 days clean and not using last night! You are doing so well and thinking with a clear head is much better for your car situation. I hope it all works out for you!!!
