OXYCONTIN AND INNOVANE

OXYCONTIN AND INNOVANE

Need to know if anyone knows how long it takes to withdrawl (withdrawal) off of oxcycontin and innovane. or how long to takes to sleep when withdrawling.

Started taken oxcycontin 9 years ago and innovane 9 years ago for fibromyalgia.  Now after all this time the doctors cut me cold turkey.  Haven't slept now going on 16 days, very aggitated, sick, feels like my body has pins and needle feeling every where, my head feels like high blood pressure setting in, and not hungry at all.

This new doctor wants to put me on 6 different precriptions, 3 antidressants, anticonvulsions and seizure meds.  If anyone has any infomation about this please let me know.  Haven't started the new meds yet, terrified to do so.

Think i am better off now that it has been 16 days, to stay off all.

Anyone have an opinion.  Sure would like some advice.

I guess it depends what the other meds are treating. I would simply discuss your past dependancy with your new doc and let him/her know that you would only like to be on the least amount of prescription drugs as possible, they should respect that and give you only what you NEED to stay healthy, careful with the seizure meds. Sounds like theres a reason for that one.

This is a new doctor that I have gone to.  I think myself they want me to be on pyco meds.  That's the way they are trying to handle fibromyalgia in Ontario now.  Except I beleive they want you to in a state that you cannot handle.

I told this doc yesterday that I was going off everything now that they have cut me cold turkey for 16 days, and he is trying to tell me that I cannot do that.  I am  beleiving in disagreeing with me now.

Thanks for the comment, much appreciated

Yeh sweetie be careful... meds are powerful chemicals and can cause crazy things, so, be on the meds you need and not on the ones you don't. I too have fibromyalgia, however, my doctor doesn't actually believe in the disease. He says its the disease they tell you that you have when they cant really find anything wrong. Very supportive, huh? I take nothing now, but, my ribs have sore spots and lumps and all sorts of crazy things. I dont know who or what to believe. I do not go to that doc anymore, but, havn't yet found another. They act like its all psychological, I know how you feel.
