she didnt say she was going to do another 3 week taper....she was saying that if she could do/handle a 3 week taper, then she could handle this. giver her a break. she has a toothache and I know that hurts. I have one too and am trying everything in my power to keep from calling someone and getting a pill or 20,lol.
well it is not sounding good.
you started out with planning to take them only for 2 days.
and now it is a 3 week taper?
not a good idea............
you will not get withdrawls from 4 pills in 2 days.
You can try swishing warm salt water around in your mouth. That helps sometimes. Are you taking Ibuprofin or aspirin between your vike doses? That may help too.
I have been up most of the night. Really hurts but I did not take another pill.
Just took one now. Still really puffy.
Looking forward to the darn root canal. I have made up my mind not to abuse. If I can do over a 3 week taper I can do this. Hubby is well informed. I tell him every time I take 1.
I would really like to eat something other then much.
Terry
may oughta take the 2 out u plan to take tomorrow..maybe one more if u feel like u may need it ..and flush the rest tonight...ur tolderence must be very low if that dose is taking ur pain away and u r very lucky...try and keep it that way..be sure u r being honest with urself..and be safe
Doing Ok. I have only taken 2 1 at 10 am and I just took another one now. So far so good'
Face is still all puffed up. The antobic. will be kinking in soon I hope. By tomorrow I hope.
I would really like to eat some real food.
SO If I can get away with just 2 today and at the most 2 tomorrow. I will flush the rest of them. I have to say I am proud of myself!
Terry
oh man i sure feel your pain. tooth problems are what got me this time, so please oh please be careful!! i was almost a year clean and whammo! now i have to start all over right now.
agree brokback..the pain and risk of using again is not worth the small amt of relief the pills may give u for the tooth pain..just taint worth it
sorry to hear about the tooth problem.
i had a bad toothache about a month ago. as it started to get worse and worse, i tried this MMS on it. it is a simple water purifyer. i flossed with it and gargled. the toothache went away. this MMS works on all kinds of things. it even cured my MRSA infection in just a couple of days. with no antibiotics and it has been since christmas and has not come back. when i had the MRSA, i had to go to the emergency room because my finger was swelling up like a balloon and hurt like it had a pulse. hah. they were really pushing the pain killers. but i declined and just asked for ice packs. which worked as good as the drugs would of. it was only a few days of pain.
it is not a good idea to wake up those addictive bridges in our brain.
it would be wise to flush all those pills after and just grin and bear it. you know it is going to go away soon. if it is easy to use them now and walk away. it may leave you thinking that the next thing that comes up you can do it again and again.
we know how "tricky" these pills can be right?
I had the same thing happen to me, but i was in active addiction...No matter how many i took the pain would not go away...That is the most horrible thing to me, is having severe pain, and tolerence so high, that nothing touches it....
anyway, take as presribed and you should be fine...I had to take them for my gallbladder, and honestly, they took away the pain and made me sleepy, etc...I guess when we have real pain they work better, and also as directed, then no high, and no cravngs...Stay strong....YOU can do this
ibuprophen can get u thru a root canal...my mom has had 2 in the past month...they gave her darvacet but after my probs..she did not take them..think i may have scared her to death!...really tho..lots survive tooth probs without narcotics...try it and ice can help too..also a gel that numbs/stronger than orajel and is a rx..can numb the area as well
I had similar problems and opted for the motrin to our bodies don't' know that is "Prescribed" and I was fearful it would release the beast of addiction all over again!!All the best to you and your choices.
I called him. I had blood poising in my mouth some time ago and it killed my teeth.
And yes I got it from a dentist.
He knows my mouth. Root canal on Monday. He is a endo.
I am so much darn pain right now. Just picked up the pills. took 1 vis 1.5 and 2 antibio's.
I am going to be OK. I am NOT going to abuse them.
I look like a chipmonk! Never had problems on the bottom just on the top. This will make number 9 for root canals.
T
Did you see the dentist or just call him/her??
Terry,
I there someone that can hold them for you and just give you your doses ?
Sway is right that after a couple of doses of antibiotics the pain will go away because the infection is causing the pressure and swelling and hence the pain.
vic's are not my DOC. I did almost a 4 week taper when I came off. I am pretty sure I can do this.
Terrry
Take the vics for pain. This is not a re-lapse, unless you start using again, then its a re-lapse.
Dental problems must come up in the Spring around this forum or something .... sway and I have appointments the same day even .... she is so right about the antibiotics ... they are the real deal with this.... I passed on the pain pills this time - possibly the first time ever - but the antibiotics did their thing and the 800mg ibuprophen did a decent job of the rest .... just be well aware of what you are messing with ... and good luck to you -I hate dentists myself even though I see a for real Saint .... and I will be seeing him some more over the upcoming weeks .....
Spoke to the dentist. Vic's and antibio. Root canal Monday.
I will not abuse these!! Take as needed.
I will not abuse thes...Take as needed. I an NOT happy!
Terry
i just went through an infection, then an extraction, then a dry socket. they offered me percocet, but i asked for tylenol 3's instead. and yes i took them alternating with 800 mg of motrin. i didn't abuse them. they really weren't strong enough, but i lived through it. i am not considering this as a relapse. with dental troubles, it's the antibiotics that make the pain go away. once they kicked in much relief came. good luck with whatever you decide to do. sway
