Thanks for the swift replies.
The pain in my foot is genuin. too make a long story short, my foot just wasnt cut off and flap stuck over the stub. they gutted it like a baked potatoe and used stomach muscles to build a walking platform.
The last time I ran out od pills, I tried to go for a walk and also a short bycycle ride and was in so much pain, If i was holding, i would of definitly used.
I only have enough vicoden to try and do a quick taper, but I think its better to w/d on hydros vs. Oxy.
Thanks for the blessing. i have been given "signs" that mean to me, its time to realise, this abuse cant go on forever. i live in day to day fear of loosing my scripts some day. But like is said, one is too many and thousand is not enough. I live in that saying. The fear is constant, even though I have no genuine reason for loosing my scripts. But this cannot go on forever.
I promised last time I was going to stick with my prescribed dose and totaly blew it in about two weeks and even start snorting. So, I made things even worse. i so want to end the madness.
Thanks for the words of encouragement all.
peace

I'am sorry to hear about the amputations. I dont know of anybody that was able to taper in such a short time. Most of us taper off over alot longer period of time. After you detox it will still take some time to feel the real pain your having if any. If you have a doctor tell them what is going on. Cold turkey is not the way to go. Good luck and MAY GOD BLESS YO IN JESUS NAME A-MEN!!!
no its not long enough to gage your pain level that is where a lot of people end up giving up .when you first stop taking pain meds your body screams give me back my drugs .you have to give your body time to start making there body build up there own pain receptors .this takes a few months .the first 45 days my pain was pretty bad and I could not always control it . By 90 days I was having alot less pain for shorter periods of time and OTCs and muscles relaxer handle 95 % of my pain .it can be done but it doesn't happen over night.
