Ok once you've taken sub how long...

Ok once you've taken sub how long...

I hear it helps right away and they work to adjust your levels.

Do you take more than one dose at the office?  How many times a week do you go to the doc?

Also does if I'm getting on it Monday am I going to be able to return to work on Tuesday?  Feel 'normal' (what is that again? lol) by Tuesday too?

Like will I have actual energy to do things.  Like wash a load of laundry?  Go shopping?  Stuff like that?

I was on sub for 24 days.  They tapered me off and i haven't been right since.
Anxiety and no sleep.  I felt great on the sub.  Just like normal but once i dropped to the 2mg. OHMY  It wasn't as bad as cold turkey from hydrocodone,
But it hasn't been pleasant.  Maybe i am an exception to the rule.  But, the sub doc told me 2 weeks, when i asked him how long i was going to be like this.
the day i went in they gave me 4 mg.  waited an hour and gave me 4MG.again.
Within 30 min. or so i was feeling pretty darn good.  They sent me home with enough pills for the week, till my next visit.  They check my urine every week oh and had blood drawn on the first day, before i started on the sub.
I hope another day or two of this and i will be okay.  I don't mean to scare you but i went into this sub study thinking it was going to be a piece of cake.  Maybe for some.  Could be they tapered me off too fast. I just don't know.
But, as long as you are on the sub you will feel great.  Or at least I did.  Best wishes to you.  Hope it works great for you.  TJack

SEE YOUR ORIGINAL POST. AND YES YOU WILL BE BACK  ON YOUR FEET TUESDAY, YOU WON'T GET THE BURST OF ENERGY LIKE YOU GET FROM HYDO, IT REALY DEPENDS ON YOUR DOSE LEVEL , TRY AND SET IT UP SO THAT YOU DOSE TWICE A DAY----NOAH

I started on 8 mg. for 2 weeks and then started tapering.  I did take my doses twice a day, until i got down to the one pill for the last 2 days.  I couldn't wait i was in such distress, that i took the 2mg. that night instead of the next day.
I was in deep depression for several days.  Just a mess.  The anxiety is a killer.
I do believe they took me off to fast?  But, i am lots better.  Taking Adivan to keep this anxiety at bay.  Good luck to all of you. TJack

I took it for 10 days, I only had to go see the doc on the 1st and 2nd day.. he did not dose me at the office. Each doctor is different Some give scripts some have the pills there to just send you home with and the pills are included.. I prefer that way, gets you out of the "script filling" and going to get your "fix'' from the pharmacy. I began tapering down on Day 3. Due to the long half life its very easy to taper down. I understand its harder to taper the longer you stay at one particular dose.
i posted a "" suboxone/subutex FAQ"" here on the forum a week or so ago.. it has tons of info in it. I did lots of research on it before going that route,  I read patients experiences and also found the training manual for the doctor certification

Oh yeah.. I took the first two days to start Sub, I am glad i did it is infamous for giving wicked headaches when you start and i also had some nausea from it.. other than that I was able to work on the 3rd day when i dropped the dose down 2mgs I felt better on less. Then I took the next weekend off for when i stopped taking it in case I had any yucky feelings.. I did have one day 3 days after stopping that I had pretty intense sweats and chills with some restless legs.. only lasted a day and it was gone for good.. i slept good the whole time, zero depression, mild anxiety..
