Old post should start new ones for ppl like me....

Now I feel stupid I am a comment and a big one only to read another person comment after mine telling me it was an old post from may 09 and I did same yesterday the one yesterday was jan 2009. I know my own fault I should have looked at the date on it. Please if its an old post lets just make a NEW post and that way dumb ppl like me wont post on an 6 month old one who has not even been on site in 4 months to read what I wrote her. lol

yaeh I always read all of them, and get hit with good info all the time, so i say keep posting girl, old or new!!!! : )

thats a very good point. I know avis was posting something the other day to this lady and what she told her hit at home w/ me and helped me more than anyone could know. So I agree...

i am sure that the support still gets delivered maybe not to the poster but to someone, we have a lot of lurkers and you never know what they are needing to hear so 5 years old or 5 mins old i still like to reply when i see them : )

Hey I didn't take it that way from  you. But I've done that few times lately and some were really old one was from 07 and user was no longer on site LOL But I do like to read them to just hard when you want to let person who posted know something and they are long gone....

okay, after re-reading...several times, I think I get what youre saying.

If you added to a 5 year old thread,  I think you would get a much better response if you just started a new thread.  I personally wouldnt want to read a l o n g old thread to find out what the last, current post is referring to.

I personally would like to offer help and answers to ppl who are here now, not 5 years ago.

BUT, like I said....maybe thats just me.

Honey, your not stupid for commenting on an old post. I have done it many times myself. My only intent was to let ppl know it was old just so they would realise it. This was a person that I stayed in touch with and messaged for awhile. Her daughter did go on Sub and she did go to the rehab that her mom wanted her to go to. I lost touch with her and often wonder how things worked out for her daughter. Please do not feel bad. That was not my intent. These old posts can help other ppl in the same situation so please do not feel that you did anything wrong Holliee...My name is Corey and I am glad to meet you. i dont find the post confusing at all. she says that when sopmeone drags up an old post by repling to a year old post it puts it to top of page just like a new one, she in turn replys thinkin the oraganal poster is going to read it only in turn to find out its old and poster not even around anymore, however i think there is something to be learned from every post old or new

O'Well, that person might not be around to read it but sometimes dragging up old post is good, its good reading miteral and might contain info lost other wise, i like to see an old post pop up with like 205 replies to read on those sleepless nights!
