Opiate addict seeks help!!

Hello all, im new to the forum. Im sure you have heard this a 1000 times but here it goes. first and for most i am an experienced opiate addict. when i say experienced i mean using for 4 years, no ods, always safe and up to 15-18 80mg's a day depending on how much i have.

lately i started attending NA, going to meetings and living in a sober living home. I had to leave there because i could not afford it. i could have easily held a job if it was not for the ups/downs of opiates. recently i bailed rehab too.

is bupe/sub/tex a mirical drug? could i use provigils as i have them for my adhd and valiums for needed rest to kill the detox. right now im pretty low. i went from oxys/percs/norcs/now 5 325 vic's though about 10 + a day. whats the easyiest way to detox i cant do the 3-4 week wd's

help!

heya m8y.sub is often passed off as a silver bullet for opiate addiction.it aint no miracle cure but it can b a useful tool on the road 2 recovery.it has its advantages sure.first as a mixed opiate agonist antagonist it only occupies the delta & kappa endorphin receptor sites, leaving the all important mu receptor vacant.full opiate agonists often stop our bodies producing these endorphines.bupe allows our bodies to relearn how 2 reproduce endorhs and we find wds less severe and the final leap smoother.

good morning.  I really believe you have come to the perfect place if you are ready to quit and talk.  As far as your questions, there is probably some one here who will give you some great advice but for the medical stuff, check with your doc. if u have one you can trust.  I am on suboxone due to recently quitting a growing opiate addiction.  Lastly, oxy = about 500mg snorted a day.  anyway, the suboxone is great for me and I don't have any w/d symptoms.  Research it all you can. There is alot of posts here you could look at that would help.  good luck and let me know if I can help.

I was an opiate addict for four years, using 3-4 80 mg oc's a day.  I went cold turkey after my boyfrind got into the methadone clinic. I have been clean for two months. Honestly, the withdrawls were the least of my problem. I was definitly not feeling okay for the first three days. What alot of people dont understand is that if you want to get clean, really want to, and you're willing to put in the effort to fight every instinct and habit you have, it will happen.
People assume that after the withdrawls, you've got it-you're clean. But it is an entire lifestyle change. You cant hang out with the same people, when **** all hits the fan at the same time (doesnt it always?), you need to be able to deal with solving these problems wihout opiates.
Getting clean always seems so overwhelming at first because you're anticipating being sick and pissed off. Which you will, but it isn as bad as we anticipate it to be. To anyone looking at replacement therapy, please stick it out a good month or two before chosing that, as you dont really know what your brain chemistry will be like until you've stuck it out. Stay positive.
