Oxy withdawal lingering....

by baron69, Aug 25, 2009 09:48PM

My wife and i got off oxy about 2 weeks ago. Took at least 80mg a day for almost two years.  We are happy to do it and the hard part is over but there is a lingering tiredness...lack of energy and motivation.  We dont miss it or want it ever again.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?  We take supplements and everything too.  How long till we feel that natural energy again?

seems like sleep, energy, and motivation are the last things to come back after withdrawl...hang in there..make yourselves go do things,,,I know it's hard but you have to get up and get moving around,,,it may take several months for the energy leval to get back up but stay the coarse..good luck and God Bless....brian

There's really no shortcut around that, you just need to move at the pace of your body and what it's willing to do. However, this does not mean that you can't push yourself to get up and go for a walk. Even if it's a walk to go and sit on a bench (and go be energy-less there), the point is to get out of your house and into difference surroundings. It really does help.

almost inevitable for most people who took narcotics for any length of time...the feelings u r descring//the mental part of wd/the aftermath///will most often cause relapse...the physical part is so easy..this part is tough..the brain has to heal...have u read thru the health pages?   the aminos in the thomas recipe and if u want to understand the actual chain of events then read the article on dopamine...lots of great info there...2 yrs of using can not suddenly be cured in 2 weeks..remeber that...u have done some damage but ur brain will heal...AAs motto of 90 meetings in 90 days holds true,,,,it is approximately the amt of time it takes for ur brain to catch up when u take the substance away...r u 2 doing any aftercare?  hang tight and keep posting...and MOVE...exercise..walk sround the block whether u feel like it or not..hit the gym...it forces the brain to produce the precious endorphins u need to heal....let us know how u 2 r doing

I would highly recommend the amino acid L-Tyrosine for the low energy fatigue feelings....

Dont forget the protien. Your body loses muscle during detox. Also it seems hard to do now but exercise will help. You need to keep moving no matter how hard it is right now

well i did go down to the local health store to get Ltyrosine the other day, but the manger who seemed knowledgeable on the subject (who also was previously an oxy addict) recommended I get a liquid solution called  "dopamine seratonin liquescense".  Its filled with all sorts of stuff i dont know about but it contains 20% alcohol.  i dont know if that matters since the recommended dose is only 3 small drops.  does anyone know about this stuff?
