Hey...I was just wondering if you know whether Kratom is safe during pregnancy.  I originally took it to get off the oxy and now I am going through subutex withdrawals.  Went from 16mg, to 8mg and now 4mg a day.  I took my last pill two days ago and feel like crap.  I am 30 wks along and would like to just ride the storm but I also don't want to risk baby's health or risk her being born early.

Order kratom!! I swear by it, after being on subs for six myths @ 12mgs dropped down to 6mgs. I order kratom for my withdrawals and its the best thing that has dropped my withdrawals by more than half. I totally recommend it to all the opiate addicts like me who want to be free of this horrible addiction!

Basically doing it myself now the quicker you come off the easier it is never jump off a higher dose than 0.5 ml gradually taper down over the two weeks every few day it's day three for me and the worst is over ..... And trustme this is nothing compared to a H rattle so good luck peps

My friend has been on subs for 7 yrs, 6 8mg a day, and the detox started at 8mg a day down to 2mg before getting off them. He has 42 days clean right now and still is having extreme withdrawal symptoms. He is 61 yrs old and is wondering when he's going to feel better?

I read above u can restleg at walmart over the counter. Tylenol.  Hot baths.  Im on my sixth day.  I was on it about a year and went cold turkey last week.  Chew gavison or any anti acid it will help craps.  But do not take amodium.  good luck to you and me.  I been taking valium at night, I get a few hours of sleep.  Don't get the over the counter sleep ones, they will make the jimmies in ur legs worse.......Just one valium at night,

I'm at day 5 it's not been to bad just chills and wanting a sniff I suffer from a bad back and the doctor gave me pregablin the work well no chills make Ya feel positive very hard to get hold off though I was only on 4mg a day though I've done two previous rattle lasted about 2 wks felt normal by week 3/4 now

I have just went cold turkey from Subutex 2 mg every 8 hours. I am on day 7 I think and my bowels are moving too much and my skin is prickly and on fire. I have hot flashes and cold spells. My legs and knees ache so bad. Celebrex and Klonipin helps a bit but I can't get much sleep either. I heard this last 21 days is that true?

This thread is really, really old.  If you go to the main substance abuse forum page and click on post a question....then post a new question there, ....you will get lots and lots of help from lots of sub users, those who have w/d from them, those still on them.

I am really not a good person to advise anything about subs, as when I went on them I had NOTHING explained to me.  I was only on them for a total of 28 days and jumped off at a very high dose.  I didn't find this forum until that was all behind me.  So I didn't KNOW what I was doing or how to do it correctly  I now have a lot of knowledge about subs, but since I didn't wean off of them, I wouldn't be of much help to you.

If you start your own thread by posting a new question, you will be amazed at all the help and comments you will receive.

Been on subs and every opiate.  Morphine was the absolute worst but over in a week.  I took a sub and it didn't touch my w/drawls. thought the worst was over after 4 days but that is when the cramps and nausuea & diarrhea kicked in. Broke down and took 2mg yesterday.  I could eat again.  But now I am starting to feel it come back and I am never "normal" but how long for these wdrawls when I was on subs for years, but the last one I did was a long time before this (a month or so) and 4-5 days ago an 8 (the one that didn't do anything) should I taper to crumbs?  I just want to be done but am on unemployment and have a job interview in 2 days.  I can't go there like this.  I need advice.

You might want to read up on neurotin (gabapentin).  I took it for nerve damage and it was originally designed as an anti-seizure med.

I am off gaba now 37 days (114 clean from hyrdros, soma and anti-depressenets), 86 days off subs.

Gabapentin affects our electrical brain functions; gaba receptors.  I am having w/d symptoms (even tho it is NOT ADDICTIVE).  I know it helps some sleep, helps some w/their w/drawals, but my personal choice was to quit altering my brain w/ ANY and ALL Rx's that messed with the natural production of brain chemical and neurotransmitters.

I had a little luck with gaba pentin (neurotin?).  My biggest gripe was the rls and that med was the only thing that touched it.  I think you can find it in almonds and a few other foods but whatever.  I used it coming off methadone.  It really made the dif.  I am about to come off of subs myself.  I know, a real glutton for punishment lol.  keep your mind right.  walk. stay hydrated.  it only gets better and it feels sssoooooooo good being clean.  oh yeah, from what i read about gaba it is a building block for your nerve endings.  which I am guessing is what the drugs destroyed.

I find that it's better not to know how long it's going to take anyway. If I had known in the first week that it would take 3 weeks to a month, I wouldn't have been able to hang in there, I was going through hell, but I kept thinking that my hell would be over soon, I was expecting to come out on the other side of the hill at any moment, and that's what got me through. One day I woke up and I felt better. Considerably better! Then I had other days where I felt bad again, but I could see a general improvement, and looking back three weeks wasnt that long, although I wasnt back to normal after three weeks, but the hell was over.

I guess what I'm saying is that you'll feel better any day now, and then a bit better and then back to normal. Just get yourself through today. Tomorrow might be the day where you're naturally happy! And yes, you will be happy, laughing and running around and sleeping like a baby, all naturally.

HI sub withdrawals can last a wile 2 to 3 weeks if you jumped from a high dose anything 4 or more is high you just got to ride out the storm it is doable we have had many members do it hoangg in there one day ar a time good luck and God bless......Gnarly

Im 17 weeks pregnant. Been on subs for 3 years. Tapered a bit but it really didnt matter. Everytime i withdrew it was full force no matter how low my dose. I am on day 6. Ppl advise u not to quit while pregnant.. But i cannot bare the thought of my baby born withdrawling. Im keeping myself as comfortable as possible. First 3 days were hell. Its day 6 and its a little better. The sweats chills and goosebumps are lingering on and off along with the aches. Sleeping is a failure. Clonidine and a benzo helps but im pregnant i try not to take anything unless its unbearable. From what i have heard the physical detox lasts 12-15 days and after that its more mental; depression anxiety etc. just remember IT SHALL PASS. Let it run its course. There isnt anything u cant handle when u pull that strength out of u thats hidden within. And then U R FREE. I highly recommend the clonidine. If needed, go to a ER and they will write u a script. Thats what i did when i quit a year ago. But i gave in to the sub again and well here i am. Pregnant and scared to death.

hi I have been on subutex for 7 years now and am on 0.4 a day, I have gone cold turkey as I will not be getting anymore prescriptions. I have lots of valium and am feeling crappy with the restless legs that the worst does anyone have any info on how I can reduce this.x
