Pain in the neck?

Im on Day 48 clean from vicodin. Over the past week, I ve had extreme muscle knots in my neck and upper back. To the point of making me crazy. I even shelled out $$$ for a deep tissue massage my neck hurt so bad. The massage helped a lot, but then today, the pain was back. In a different spot on my upper back.
Do you know if this could be from detox? Oh and if anyone else has this problem, I ve also found relief from a back massager - you press it into the tight spot and get some relief from the pain. I 'lll do anything to keep from taking vicodin. That's my plan!!!

Mine will hurt in that area when i am under stress.  I do some deep breathing exercises and try to destress myself.......Motrin works great too!!

kewl, I will stay the course. Of course (smile). I am also FREE from xanax and an occasional Soma. I wonder if I should be counting the days for those. Not a big temptation for me so I don't really feel worried.
But the good news is since I'm been off vicodin AND since my physical WD is over, I do not really need xanax at all. When I was on it, I'd get palpitations sometimes and so I'd take it off and on. Now my body is more level and geez, I am really doing good!
Okay, this is unexpected. I'm getting kind of emotional. In a Good way. thanks Domino!! You are so great!

I do aromatherapy massage for this type of pain, so if you want to hop on the next plane to Scotland....

Well at least I offered....

But if you can get someone to just to a simple massage for you, it'll help.

I have an awful back from sports. At age 19 I was told I had the back of a 39 year old. I always found hot showers and massages worked the best. I also get really bad migraines so any advice on OTC meds will help because I am dreading those days without pills! With that said, I will not cave in this time!
