Pain management...

I just found out that my doc done his last authorization on my meds because he thinks I need to be a pain management patient. I am confused.... I thought the reason he stopped is due to the fact he thought I was addicted to them. Its not. He is going to send me to a doc to control the pain that knows more about pain itself. Am I addicted or what? I thought that was what he was implying and that is why I am here...

Pain mgmnt doc is not a punishment. It isn't a bunch of judging, it isn't a bunch of high stress evaluations, it isn't to get u knocked off pain meds, it is just specialized treatment with good docs who understand pain. I was so stressed when I was referred, I made myself crazy. It is just a bit diff, is all. Don't worry, it'll be fine!

I"ve seen good pm Drs. and bad just like in any profession. I guess you have to do a little research.
