Pain pill abuse

Hi my name is Patrick I live in Houston Texas. The Mecca for script docs. I have been addicted to lortab and somas for six years. I keep going to dr to get the scripts. 120 lortab and 120 soma usually lasts me about a week. I am soo addicted to the high the feeling good it brings. Now I have had my periods of sobirety. 3 months this year then I fell into the cycle again. I love the high and deathly scared of the dts detox. That's why I primarly take them easy. 12 and 12 a day lortab and soma. Ppl tell me it's just like h. Wich I am pondering the idea of getting sum and shooting it up. But I am scared of throwing up when the high comes. They tell me it's better than the painpoll high. Seems it don't get better than 6 pains and 5 somas at once 3 times a day. Idk honestly I want to quit but am scared of wd. I have done wd a dozen times since I started going to script docs on Houston. They are all over Harris county. I think I got a count of 389 of them as of oct 1st 2010. This is a good place to read what other ppl are going thru. I know I am not alone. But the h is calling me and I have never done it ever.

Hey man I know what your going through, I used to have people run doctors for me back in the day when I was still using. I too live in Houston so I know exactly how easy it is to go to the script docs and come out with handfuls of pills. It's good you want to get off of them and I understand being scared of the withdrawal but if you are honest with a real doctor about it, they can help you through the wd period. I would definitely leave the H alone, I lost a few weeks of my life to that when I switched back to pills, my habit was over 400 mg of oxy a day.

There are lots of NA and AA meetings around town to go to, make a plan about when you want to quit, what kind of support your going to have, and lets get into action.

Hi.....well on one hand you seam to be looking for help but on the other hand your looking to get in deeper with heroin.....you need to do an assessment of just where your addiction is taking you.....im sure when you started on the pills a needle and spoon was out of the question....whats changed inside you to where thats now an option....please take the advise that all are giving and dont even try it once...its very alluring and will take you places you dont want to go...and its withdrawals are agonizing...you need to sit back and try to figure out what your trying to escape from...a good start would be an N/A or A/A meeting ...just sit and lissen...you dont have to say a word but you may find out your not alone in this thing
your addiction is progressing to some really dark and lonely places you need to stop b/4 your in any deeper.....I use to love to party on perc/10s and soma's I know all to well the feeling your after ....do yourself a huge favor and get off this path b/4 you wind up like me flushing 16 1/2 yrs away to the stuff...I took it all the way to methadone....thats another road you dont want to go down...do some soul searching and get honest with yourself do what you got to do to end this roller coaster good luck and God bless....Gnarly

I know you think the high your DOC brings you is the greatest feeling, but thats because your body doesn't know how to make its own endorphins (drugs) anymore. This is because you have short circuit your brain. Stop now before you get in to deep H will kill you. The w/d's you may experience now wil pale in comparision to what you will go through when you w/d from the big H. Please quit now, I will pray for you.---quitinoxys

I know all about Houston, it sounds like something bad is going to happen.. you are still romancing the high. Everyone is right, if you really want help, this is the place.. I hear the words "I want to quit" but the other words you saying are more passionate.. please tell me I am wrong. Also, just for the record, they are collecting data about people using different Dr.s and pharmacies in Houston, Tx.

Fear of WD is what kept me from quitting earlier ( I was taking considerably more per day and not getting high) , when I did quit, WD pain wasn't my biggest concern. I quit CT and the worst was over in 3-5 days ( I wasn't taking 18 soma per day ) The only reason I even bother to bring up my old habit, is to illustrate that you can quit right now.. you just have to really want it. Wow, if you think the H is calling you now before you have even used it, you have no clue what will happen if you do. Not sure what to tell you, but if you decide to use it, then you will really see what hell is like. Ugggg

You switch over to Heroin and there will no road back. If you want to get and stay clean you are in the right place.

First question..how do you plan to do that if your wife gets her script filled?
