Hylands helps alittle, the only thing that really helped me was HOTHOTHOT baths. I stayed in the tub hours at a time...all night.
Good Luck
I have heard many good things being said about Hyland Restful leg, you can get it at Walmart also I have a wonderful cream called Austrailian Cream, it says it is an arthritis cream but works wonder for the nerve damage I have in my lower back and gets rid of the pain in my leg. you can get it at Walgreens or Kroger. am pulling for you. hang in there, you have almost made it !!!!
That was also my worst symptom...Like you the hot baths worked so well, but would have to get back in within an hour...The one thing that worked for me was zanaflex..IT is a presription, and i am not sure if it is addicting ( i am sure it can be) but i only used it for about 6 days....I would take the medicine, take a hot bath and then wrap my calves up tight with ace bandages...I also used heating pads on them...I hope it gets better for you, good luck and don't give up, because it does go away....
R2R
I dont know if this will work for you, but for me, I use "Chinese Exercise Balls (C.E.B.)"...
they come in pairs, are metallic and some make a soothing, relaxing noise.
I had RLS even before WDs and found that when I used the C.E.Bs, it helped with the stress and helped turn my attention and focus away from my legs...every time I used the CEB's, i stop shaking my legs...
Like you, I've tried everything under the sun as well and never worked...As theeagle mentioned, this will pass...Congrats on Day 4!!!
Calcium / magnesium supps, warm/hot bath with epsom salts in solution, as many banana's as you can handle.......keep up the sauna and the hot wraps...they will help more and more as time passes for a few days.....distract yourself with a good movie...take a short walk and lengthen the walk as tolerated........and good luck...this too shall pass..
AAWWWW...the soap didn't work?
