Palpitations

by ERASURE1, Apr 06, 2007 12:00AM
I recently quit opiate use. When i did use It seemed that I got heart palpitations when I got nervous or adrenelin pumping. I am a firefighter so it is always pumping. I now take suboxone and it seems that I am getting longer more frequent episodes. Does anyone know if that drug or opiates do cause such problems?

What is opiate? I have palipitations, but I do not take anything for them. The doctor said he would put me on something, but it was up to me. I know after a night of drinking yeger bombs, I would get severe palipitations, so I quit drinking those.lol. I only get them now once in awhile. Like when Im stressed out, or tired.

I'm w/d'ing from fentanyl which is an opiate and I have had heart palpatations recently. Usually, they start when I'm trying to relax at night, but last night I had them in the afternoon and they lasted longer than they have before. My dr. also says it's nothing to worry about. It's not painful in any way but it's annoying and kind of frightening. I hope they stop for both of us soon.

Take Care....LS
