Percocet Addiction

I just wanted to say hello to everyone.  I just joined this forum today.  I was addicted to Percocet for about 6 months due to chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis.  Needless to say it overcame me.  I am 23 years old with a militiary background (until the pelvic pain and endometriosis got me kicked out) and I have a beautiful daughter and an amazing Army husband.  I just wanted to let everyone know that there IS help out there.  I have been clean and sober for 4 days now (which doesnt seem much but its A LOT for me) And I wanted to join this site to talk to others to make sure I STAY clean.  I do not want to relapse.  No pain in the world is worth that stuff again!!!  I hope that you can all support me and help me stay clean and sober.  I'm counting on you all.  God bless you ALL and I hope ALL of you find the strength that I did to say enough is ENOUGH.

If he is talking about a Fentanyl patch, don't do it. Fentanyl is a bear to come off of. If he is talking about the Lidocaine patch, it may help you. It didn't for me but it is surely worth a try.

Acupuncture is a good suggestion. I did that many years ago and it provided a great deal of relief. The other thing that helped a lot for me was Aqua Therapy. It is non-resistant and it is the warm water that helps relieve the pain. I also use a hydrocolator which provides the same type of relief.

Let us know what the doctor says.

IBKleen, Unfortunately no not yet.  I'm searching EVERYWHERE.  I meet with my pain specialist in 10 days to discuss a pain medication that cannot be abused somehow, like a patch that he personally gives me once a month or something?  have you ever heard of something like that?
