Percocet Withdrawel and addiction

Hello,  I will post my name as Rave.  I have been on percocet for a long long time for my back. I have recently snorted them and take about 5-8 a day. My scripts run out a week early and my dr. said he would boot me if I kept running out.  Usually I can make it but lately I have had trouble with the withdrawel affects.  I am just tired of doing this and I want to get off it.  I was on morphine an kicked it. Opana was what I was taking. I have about 40 pills left and 12 days until refill but I don't  want the refill. Any suggestions on how to kick this and the best way to keep the withdrawel effects down to a minimal?  I can't miss work anymore and to be honest when I do I just sit around and think of the withdrawels. I have been on Effexor for 6 years for anxiety.  Can someone help me get the monkey off m yback and give me my life back.  I am tired of the ER trips when I run out of meds and I am tired of always counting my pills and all the **** that goes along with it.  I really would appreciate help. I know I can do it I just need someone out there to be my friend and not judge me.

like ww said..let ur dr know..and he can help u with this....also there is tons of great info in the health pages on supps and stuff to help..like the thomas recipe...first off..can u stop snorting and start swallowing the smae dose?  then perhaps taper from there?  40 mgs is not a high dose but opana is a strong drug and tolerence buiilds fast to it..i have taken it for pain and do know it is stronger than hydro and oxy...getting off now///however u choose to do it..is the way to go and it is good u see that...I would be glad to help u with  a taper if need be..snorting builds tolerence much faster than swallowing ur dose...can u try not to snort tomorrow and go from there?  or do u want to ct?

Let your doctor know you are quitting and he may give you some clonodine and perhaps a benzo to help you through.  It will also cut off your supply when you have a weak moment and think of getting a refill.  You can do it!  Good Luck!
