If you ask me all CANHELP's posts should be deleted. How one can misconstrue a post to that ixtent is beyond me! Hmm ... maybe he is jonesing pretty bad. That said; I agree "back", I have been on and off the xanax a couple of times and have never been addicted, I dont care for it because it makes me so tired so I have rarely taken it but wondered if it would help with the intial stages of withdrawal from the P's. Using it as a tool and not a substutute. As for sub, I have never taken it and cannot recomment it to anyone, only a thought of maybe trying it if all else fails. Thanks for replying Back.
Sorry for my last post. Medhelp deleted the post from the guy i was talking to. Sub can be the best option for some people. Just be careful in choosing a DR. Do some research on different DR's. You dont want to end up with a DR like CanHelp. I still cant believe the nerve of that guy. I've got his #, I'm thinking of calling him/her...lol..
Good luck with whatever you choose. As long as you keep working at it you will make it.
This CanHelp bozo seems akin to an ambulance chasing lawyer. How tacky, even if (and that's a big IF) this clown is legit the fact he is plugging his suboxone clinic here to try and generate some dough is distasteful and plain tacky.
And I agree, there are tons of people who have tapered off of percs. To say it can't be done is wrong..you think a "doctor" would know better. And Xanax as prescribed can be extremely helpful in the early days of detox. This guy is a moron and should take his hogwash elsewhere. This is a support forum buddy, not a commercial opportunity. Be gone!
What are you... advertising? Really?? Your phone # and all?? The only facts i saw in your post were about suboxone. And im not sure all those were facts. Everyones different.
1) "You cannot use Xanax"...I found it to be very helpful.I was given a low dose by a doctor. I'm not addicted.
2) "you cannot taper from percs" Bull$hit!! there is a ton of people here who have. Its not easy, but it can be done.
Its like your saying the only option to get off opiates is suboxone. Like your selling it...Just my opinion based on several posts i've read of yours...just sayin
Thank you both for your replies, I truly appreciate it. I have decided to come clean with the shrink and couselor so I will have more help available. I am not making any accuses but I am still going through a lot with the ex. We share custody of dogs and she is completely unbarable and I have to have contact because we have a morgage together and we both make half the payment. Anyway, I had considered getting back together but changed my mind, she is very abusive and I cannot take anymore so I have spent this past week packing the rest of her stuff to get it out of my house, she wont come and get it, though she moved out last November. This played a huge part in my addiction, meaning, I did not wat to deal with it, being on the P's helped me avoid thinking about it but landed me a whole new mess.
Also I am inbankruptsy procedings along with other court stuff. I don;t feel I can handle cold turkey, I want to try the tapper again one more time and if that dont work it will have to be the SUB or rehab.
You will get alot of people here helping you through this. If ya want to go with subs, its your call they will help. If ya want my truth, go cold turkey. It is a raging bitc&. But when its all done you will know at least one good reason to not go back. Dont take any other meds its stupid. They may make you feel better but not worth another pill. We spend too much time avoiding the discomfort but you are gonna face it someday. I was told to nut up! Just get it over. We play this stupid game of what do we take now. How bout take nothing. Ive done it and so has many people. Hey If you are really trying shoot me an email. I will call ya if ya need. Just quit, your not that deep. I know this life and it *****. get out while ya can. I will answere your questions.
Hi and welcome. It's great you recognize you have a problem and want to do something about it. I would absolutely tell your shrink about the percocets. He/she may even be able to help you with a taper in regards to what you take how to take it. The goal is to get and stay clean safely so I suggest working with a professional of some sort. Most of your questions are best suited for a professional, however you may get some insight here. There are lots of folks here with a lot of experience who can be very supportive and helpful. I hope everything goes well for you. Please come in and share whenever you need to.
