Pills in America

I was just curious if these pills are circulating overseas like they are in America? It just seems to me in America ones health is second to anothers finances. Yes im patriotic and served my country honorably for almost 11 yrs. I just feel like the Pharmaceutical companies and Doctors jumping on the band wagon are greedy aholes.

Amen to that. I am one victim of an overprescribing MD. And yes, he does give talks to doctors and such as a rep for drug companies. This s*** has GOT to stop.

I was wondering if there was enough of us who was abused and misinformed got together to file a massive lawsuit against the AMA and maybe the Pharmaceutical companies that will slow this **** down. I travel 2 weeks out of the month and personally know 300 or more people and 60%(rough estimate) of them are on addictive meds and my perspective when I hear their problems is, why? I went to my doctor at the VA 2yrs ago and complained about lower back pain(which I suffered from while active duty but handled it with exercise and stretching) and he prescribed me 120 oxycodone 5's. After a couple of months they weren't working so he give me 240. A week later he calls me back in and makes me sign a VA contract basically describing what these pills can do to you and they aren't liable. TOO LATE!!!! Yes we all have personal responsibility to do the right thing in life but if you can't trust a highly trained professional who can you trust. I am venting but would also like input.
