Please help with lortab ct

Oh where do I start? I thought for two days that I was either pregnant or had the flu. It just clicked with me last night that I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms from hydrocodone 10mg. It's been since this past Friday I ran out of my pills and just didn't have time to refill.  I didn't think I was so dependent on them but my poor body feels differently. I'm so tired, cold, sad, and mostly scared I'll never feel better. I don't want any more pills but need the suffering to stop. Ive only been on them for a few months but what started as pills for back pain quickly became to feel high. I don't know if anyone reading has experienced use for only a few months but how long will this detox take before I can at least get some sleep? My legs won't stop at night and when i sit. It makes me literally insane! I've read it's like rls. Will advil or Tylenol help? I'm alone in this and need answers. Someone help please.

I just awoke from a 30 min nap and am so thankful for it! Finally some sleep with no jittery feeling! I pray it will go so well tonight! I am picking up the items several of you mentioned and trying it all and praying it only can get better from here.

Refills cancelled and ripped up. Thanks.

Please don't dispair you will feel lots better, i am taking the valerian root religously to keep the hebie jebies and anxiety down and it REALLY works good. Also, you have to get up and move around, moving around will get your brain to produce natural endorphines and those will make you feel SO much better.

I TOTALLY agree with everyone above, if you really want to succeed you MUST cancel those scripts.  The mind is VERY powerful and once you do it, and realize that you can't get any more you will also feel better and more in control of your life.  I had to break through my fear and call my doctor and tell him NO MORE scripts, he was the only source of pills for me, and once i did and i knew there was no chance of getting more, i felt really empowered and it gave me a great boost of confidence.
So just keep going and everytime you think your going to go crazy GET UP and do something, walks REALLY help and make you feel good.  My theroy is this, the more i get my blood pumping and heart rate up my body is working faster and getting the crap out of my blood so i just keep telling myself the more i move the better i'm going to feel.

Good job, keep going and keep posting, this site has been a complete life saver for me, and i owe everyone who posts a big thank you!!! Good luck!

Hi!   Right now you need to feel better!!   You need fluids and lots of them. You need to eat. It's really important.  Withdrawal will cause dehydration, low blood sugar, and insomnia!

It's enough to make a person feel like they're dying but it's an easy fix. You need gatorade, water, and juices;fruit, vegetables and meat. It sounds simplistic but it makes a huge difference!

There's a product called Hylands Restfull Legs and it's sold almost everywhere;try Walgreens.  If you have Tonic water at home, drink it. It's got quinine in it and that's what you need for your legs. Also, the minerals: calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium will get depleted so take a multi vitamin or two. You can get the vitamins and minerals from food but you have to eat and right now;  you need extra!!

Take several hot baths aday, take Motrin 800mg 3x per day,get walking around a little especially out doors.  Don't stress yourself too much otherwise...and call the pharmacy and cancel that refill.

Stay in touch and good luck!!

It's okay April, you will be OKAY.  The first thing I want to suggest is CANCEL the scripts you have left.  Just knowing that you can pick them up is really going to mess with your psyche now.  Believe me, I know what I'm saying here.  It wasn't until I got rid of all access to the meds that I could focus on recovery.  It's just too hard to fall back during the first few difficult days.  Just a suggestion.  :)

And there are a lot of things you can do to help remedy some of the symptoms you're now experiencing.  Check out the thomas recipe - the vitamins/supplements helped me so much!  And the hot baths are good for you now so keep taking them.  The RLS can be tough (that restless legs thing - I had it everywhere so I remember!) - but bananas, believe it or not, help a lot.  The potassium in the bananas help this symptom - so give them a try.

And I'm not surprised that the ambien didn't help much so I would just stop taking them.  Melatonin can help a lot for sleep along with valerian root.  Might be worth picking some up to help you through the first week or so.

And keep posting!!  As I said, there are a lot of members here (myself included) who know exactly what you're going through and can offer their own advice.  You can DO this april - you caught it early and that's a really GOOD thing.  :)

hi april, unfortunately is doesnt take long for our bodies/ heads to latch on to these meds,
personally i wouldnt take any more, just stop cold turkey, make sure you drink plenty of fluids, that is important and does help with any headaches, also take some imodium for stomache problems and diorreah, you can get some restful legs stuff from walgreen/walmart , and eat some bananas, helps with restless legs, try some valerian root also, you will be fine , we are here for you , best wishes.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Ugh I feel so helpless. I was taking 50mg a day, everyday. Yes I have refills, that does make things pretty difficult. The only thing stopping me from getting them is mustering enough strength to get in the car. Had no idea you could feel his bad after only using a few months. I can just imagine the anguish many face with a much longer struggle.  I don't have a plan. I just realizes last night what was wrong with me. Talk about not wanting to face the facts right? Well, it just made sense to not take anymore but since I'm so uneducated with all of this I'm second guessing my decision now. But don't want to go through another detox phase because it's so miserable. I need help with what I should do, take, that I have at home to help. I have been taking hot baths for my legs but now even that doesnt seem to help. I have ambien and I took 15 mg the other night to sleep and still was up all night. I am not a big person weighing in at 115 so that should have knocked me out. Any further help or advise you could give at this point is angelic and much needed. Thank you all

Hi april and welcome!!!

And it's okay, you've come to the right place for support and info.  And yes, it is possible to get hooked in that short amount of time.  However, the good news here is that you've only been taking them for a short while and that's really going to work in your favor as you move forward.

What is the plan here?  Have you decided to stop for good?  I ask this only because you mention you have a refill.  And just knowing that refill is there is going to bring on some added anxiety to the process.  So let us know a little more about what your long term plan is here and I'm sure we can help.  :)
