Pregnant & trying to get off subutex

I do not know where to post this but I'm 17 weeks pregnant & on subutex. I've been on subutex the past 6 years and I have a one year old who I was on sub with the whole pregnancy who is fine but he did have to stay in the NICU for 8 days to be watched. I'm trying to wean down and get off subutex asap I do not want to leave the hospital without my baby again and I don't want the baby to go through any w/ds. I take about 2-4 mgs a day. Idk if I should just quit and go through the w/ds bc I'm scared it will harm the baby. I just need some advice on what to do. My doctor is not helpful with it at all... Tia.

Are you getting the sub from a doctor?  You need to find an OB that will work with you while you are on this.  A fast taper is not a good idea as the baby will feel everything.  You need to be monitored.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I highly suggest consulting another doctor before trying to wean yourself off. Withdrawals can be dangerous to the baby while you are pregnant. That is why they suggest you stay on it.

I don't go to a clinic anymore... It was too expensive. I'm very very worried about what w/ds will do to the baby. I'm jus gonna try to wean down as fast as I can so I don't get too far along... I'm very scared.

Do you go to any type of clinic that could give you advice?  I'm just worried about how w/d at this stage would effect the baby. If your ob isn't helping you w this I honestly would start looking for another. You need someone who will answer your questions and work through this with you. Best of luck
