Proper diet to aid recovery?

Proper diet to aid recovery?

Hello everyone.

I'd like to know what kind of diet is recommend to help the body and brain recover from substance abuse?

The thing is that, I dont eat any vegetables (unbelievable, I know). My diet mainly consists of non veg food. And also junk food.

Please advice.

Best Regards,
Shadow

Take a look at the Health Pages here near the top right. Check out the amino acids and take a good multi-vitamin 2x/day. I hope you eat some fruit, that will help some.

heh, lol :D Alright, so... hmm. If I have no choice other than to start consuming vegetables. I better consume the best ones then. What are the recommended vegetables? I like Carrots, Cucumber and I love Tomatoes. But I seriously hate spinach and Popeye. So, lets skip that. And how good are Mangoes? Its Mango season here so I can take advantage of Mangoes

The fresh fruits and vegetables in season are always good choices. I sometimes blend veges and fruit together.

I am one of them that promotes the amino acid protocol.....and I think that the regimine is valid.....at least it seemed to be one thing that noticeably improved my situation with episodes of PAWS.......info at bottom right of page with link...

Protein is extremely important to the body's healing...protein shakes seem to help me...amino acids are the building blocks of protein so AA supps are great for me...avoiding processed food has been helping me too as i crave carbs...sweets increase our levels of serotonin for a short time then they crash back down...that is why chocolate helps many with cravings...5thp also increases seratonin levels
