Question about withdrawals

Hi everyone,

I've been taking hydrocodone for about 4 months. Sometimes 8 7.5/750 per day. I tapered to 2.5 and a day stopped completely on Thursday. I've had pretty minimal w/ts. Except for the depression and my extremely achy legs. I've been reading this forum for a while and I can honestly say that is what helped me get through this. i just wanted to thank everyone for their indirect help.

Since I haven't been taking it for too long, is the worst over? I know my dose was high for a few weeks.

Way to go...your worst should be behind you. But now is definitely not the time to get complacent. Many say that the after struggle with triggers, cravings, and memories continues strongly with many. It too will die of age, but its not anything to ignore either.

I did the taper also, and wd's were minimal for me . I'm on day 5 and still have trouble w/ the crawly legs. I still use the heating pad and take a hot bath before bed.  Now it's important to address the mental part. This is where we get into trouble and could relapse. Suggestions are NA mtgs, counseling, support groups.....we need to get to the underlying problem of why we used. Good luck and keep posting!!!

Thank you so much for the quick responses. I haven't told anyone I even have a problem so its nice to be able to come here and have people that understand.

I think the mental part will be hard as a little emotional to begin with.
