From what other Suboxone users have said it is very expensive and Dr. do need to be certified in dispensing this medication. Also, I understand that their is a limit to how many pt they can treat at a time. That is really all the info I have..someone who has more experience with this will post I'm sure!
I am new on suboxone but I do know that it is expensive. 10 pills were around $65.00. I think it is working at least it has helped me refrain from my other pill addictions (lortab, percs, etc) Have you been to their website? I went their today and it does give alot of info there and people here on forum have taught me alot today too..Goodluck
Go to suboxone.com to find a doctor in your area and call them all and see what they charge. My insurance pays for my meds, but I pay my doc cash for the office visits and he prescribes a month at a time b/c my copay is $45.
It seems that some docs charge a lot more than others or have longer waiting list. Some take insurance for the office visits and some want cash. If you don't have insurance to pay for suboxone it is expensive, but probably still a lot less than what you are spending getting high. I called just about every doctor within 3 states until I found one that I liked and I could afford.
Hey Nomas...your doc sounds AWESOME!! He really sounds like a special person and seeing someone like that seems a blessing to help you kick opiates. I am looking for a counselor now and am really nervous about finding the right one. I hope I have as good luck as you.
The nw law states that doctors can have up to 100 patients on sub now as opposed to the 30 previously.
