RE: old posts resurfacing.....better to post new

Just a suggestion....instead of using really old posts(2003, 2008)....start freshwith the current year  then its quicker and faster for people to comment and help one another instead of having to re-read stuff from years ago....
I'm sure the moderator would benefit from this too and keep the messages current and relevant......
Just a thought, we can help each other so much when we need it the most.....
Goodnight to all....xo Dianne

Hi everyone -

Laurel and Avis are correct -it could well come from a google search of a term or phrase.  It might also be from searching MedHelp and coming up with older threads.

Please do just welcome them.  :)

laurel is right many members find there way here by the old posts. If you see someone who has posted on and old post  welcome them ,let them know its an old post and that they would get more responses if they start there own thread .

I think it happens because they googled some issue and they wrote on the thread that google found on the search and they  know nothing about the forum.

you are so right dianne, sometimes we go to the bottom of the page and tell them its an old thread, and to go to top of page and post in the "ask a question box" sometimes they do, but not always.

I think what happens especially with new members is that they don't look at the dates just the topic.
