RLS can anyone explain it to me?

by NautyOne, Feb 08, 2008 10:19PM
I don't know if I have it or not, because I don't know for sure what it is......can anyone explain in detail exactly what it feels like.  Thanks.

It s***s...your legs feel restless, jumpy, like you have to keep moving them..it just drives you nuts to sit still... it mostly affects you at night when you put your legs up..or when you go to bed.....it is the weirdest damn thing...i had it before i started taking vics, and let me tell you...that's prol' why i kept taking them...it took away that feeling in my legs...

be GLAD you don't have it....lol

well, I guess it's restless foot for me.......when i go to sleep my foot just wants to move back and fourth.......its actually relaxing most of the time but sometimes it's irritating. I guess it's probably not RLS.  Thanks.

The restless leg is one of the worst things I can remember about detoxing. I really thought I would lose my mind over it. It and the sneezing lasted for so long and I don't know of anything to make it better just time. I would like to know the medical reason for it.

It's kinda like having wicked electrical charges going off in your leg muscles. Like someone is sapping your legs with a taser gun. Your legs want to move and jerk around. It's bad.

It does sound like RLS . I get it in my feet and toes.  I even had it in my hands while detoxing.  It's awful.  I get it if I take a sleeping aid like benadryl, advil pm etc....  Do you use artifical sweetner ? Some people say that it can give you RLS.

funny you mention that.  I have been taking the tylenol pm for sleep lately and I didn't put the two together.  I will go back to the melatonin and see what happens.  Interesting.  Thanks.

I get it from sleep aids too, even when I'm not in withdrawels. Chrystal Lite (the powdered drink mix) will do it to me too.
