RSD

by susan303, Nov 11, 2007 03:28PM
I was diagnosed with RSD in July.  The doctor treating me said there is no medical test or machine that could tell if a person has RSD or not.  I have went thru two surgeries and am schduled to go thru my third one on November 29.  My workers comp is sending me to a doctor who states he has a machine that can tell if a person has RSD or not, and the machine would be able to tell how made it is.  I have researched on the internet RSD for several months and the only thing I can come across is a triple phase bone scane.  But per the case studies the machine wasn't even right half the time with the results.  I have went thru to much and came to far with this to go into something else.  I know with my last procdure with the RSD I could feel a let up with the pain.  I am confident that is what it is, but I am afraid due to all the medical cost workers comp is trying to find a way out.  I know with RSD it can sometimes be a lifetime battle.  Could anyone please help with this...Thanks...

first tell us what RDS stands for? And how is it  related to workers comp. You dont have to go to any doctors that the ones you choose to make a diagnosis. Do you have a lawyer working on this and have they been paying your wages and medical bill and rx charges so far? Are you expecting some sort of settlement out of this. Who is the insurance co your up against? I ask these questions as I worked for The Hartford for 14 years.-----------------------------NOAH
