Recovery Program and Endorphin Pak

Recovery Program and Endorphin Pak

I've been on percote for 2 years using more and more of the medication.  My doc keeps handing them out. I want to stop the meds and found a product, stated above, from the book End Your Addiction Now.  My question is- has this blend of Vit and Amino Acids helped others?  Thanks.....

Hi there and welcome. To answer your question, I'm sure that it has helped many people but it's definetely not a cure all. Those will help your body along in repairing and replenishing what the opiates have stripped it of and they are definetely important during the withdrawls. I would even say through several months if not permenantly. That along with a good aftercare program will get you through.  I don't know what book you are talking about and it very well may be an excellent resource but the title alarms me. Don't get me wrong, it's encouraging to hear that you are doing your homework and making plans because it will definetely help but "ending your addiction" is misleading. You will always be an addict whether in active addiction or in active RECOVERY. It's never over. It may sound discouraging but being an addict, and working the steps to recovery will make you a better person, in my opinion, than if you weren't. That's how it's been for me. If I'd never picked up and started abusing opiates, I would have never gotten into recovery and I would have NEVER dealt with the things that were eating me alive. I would have lived a somewhat menial life just thinking that being miserable was "normal". I'm not happy that I hurt as many people as I did but I am grateful to be a recovering addict. I hope you will be too. Good luck and God bless!
