Relapse after only 5 days

I did well for 5 days, then I found 3 perc 5's, I thought I could only take 1, but within the hour I took all  of  them.  Most of my withdraw symptoms were gone. Will I go through them again?  I haven't been sleeping, and then last  night the rls came back.  I've been feeling lonely, like losing my pills were my only friend. Could I really be that messed up in the head, to not be able to see  life beond pills?

Relapsing happens all the time, just be glad that you didn't relapse to the point where you took so many pills over the course of a few weeks or months. Think to yourself that it was a one time thing and it only happened withion one hour. You may feel a little bit sluggish tomorrow compared to what you were feeling before you took the three pills, but it isn't anything you're going to need to worry yourself over. Think of it more as a lesson learned and continue to move forward from here. All the best of luck to you!

Thanks so much for the support that I've found here.  I came clean with my hubby about the relapse.  He is so supportive, considering he has no addiction, and never having gone through any withdraws.  I'm so disappointed with myself for being so weak.

In my experience you will certainly not start the withdrawal cycle all over again. Peaceinknowing is correct in the fact that you should be happy you didn't allow your relapse to continue for an extended period. I was clean four months and I let one relapse last for 9 months. I finally hit my bottom and now I don't even want anything to do with any type of pill or drug anymore. I have never done drugs and dont even drink alcohol, but this so called medicine has given me so much more trouble than any relief from pain ever could have helped.

the only bad relaspe is the one you dont learn from. I did the same thing after 10 days but you MUST get up and pay attenetion and find out WHY you let this happen, so therefore you learn from it, You be okay, dont let it keep you down
