Ridding your body of toxins and WITHDRAWAL advice is here

Okay.. this is what my doctor recommended to me yesterday, and an awesome Australian doctor he is as well!
As I've told one other person that asked for my advice on ridding your body of toxins, such as meds, fat, unwanted body wastes, etc etc.. and ALSO things that are the ONLY essentials to aiding in WITHDRAWALS! NO addictive meds can cure you, NOR aid in withdrawals, maybe short term, but you'll also suffer short OR long term if you place the other 'aiding' meds into your body that are indeed addictive!

Salad w/ Vinegar (easier way to consume vinegar) is essential. Why? Because Vinegar rids your body of toxins.. Also, stop by GNC and buy the blue bottle of 'Complete Cleansing' and it'll literally rid your immune system, which is your colon, liver, and kidneys, of all toxins as well. It's got EVERYTHING in it! Everything that is essential to those three organs, which support immune system health! I've been taking it, and OMgosh! What a HUGE difference!
Ridding your body of toxins, however, also includes staying away from unneeded drugs/meds. Like me, I know I don't need certain things like Pain Meds- for the simple fact that I know my body will build a dependence on them, so never again for me!
Another thing, as far as withdrawals go- please don't use suboxone, tramadol, anything else that's habit forming to rid of withdrawals, because it'll cause even MORE heartache than they're worth! If you're already weaning and withdrawing from ONE med, no need to withdrawal from another! Mild antidepressants can be used to ease anxiety, but THAT you have to talk to your doctor about.. Ask him if there is ANYTHING that he can prescribe you that does NOT require tapering from! Something that is NOT habit forming!
Also, take vitamin B 6 or 12- both HUGE essentials to the mind and body!
Take vitamin E, St. John's Wort, ALOT of amino acids, and that pretty much sums it up, including Vitamin D.
**Make sure that whatever you are coming off of, whichever med it may be, that you taper slowly so that your body fully adjusts to the 'tapering down' and your body will start to function normally again and not 'NEED' that extra "HELP" from the med anymore! Once your body recognizes that it has to start working on it's OWN again, you're fine!
KEEP taking those vitamins no matter what- your body's been through alot!
I hope this helps! I called my doctor and he told me exactly everything I'm telling you now!

Blessings!
Alli

The Cleansing Formula from GNC contains: I was wrong about the name, it's not complete cleansing, it's just 'cleansing formula'
(which is 'THANKFULLY' doesn't contain Senna leaf:
Psyllium Seed Husks Powder (750mg)
Lactobacillus acidophilus Blend (100mg)
Spirulina Powder (60mg)
Goldenseal Root Powder (50mg)
Silymarin (Milk Thistle Extract)- for the liver as well- (35mg)
Green Barley Grass Powder (30mg)
Cranberry Concentrate (25mg)
Echinacea angustifolia Root Powder (25mg)
Aspergillus niger enzyme (15mg)
Aspergillus oryzae enzyme (15mg)
Rhizopus enzyme (15mg)
Ginger Root Powder (15mg)
Chlorophyll (10mg)
Burdock Root Powder (10mg)
Sarsaparilla (Smilax) Powder (5mg)

No sugar, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, sodium free, no wheat, no gluten, no dairy, yeast free.
A unique combination of herbs, enzymes and acidophilus, NOT a laxative; only to maintain healthy immune system!

I know exactly what other products on the market do- literally dehydrate the heck out of ya, and are more harmful than any good!
This blend is actually formulated to safely and effectively maintain a healthy liver, kidney function, and immune system.
Hope that helps, guys.. I should have worded it a little better earlier.. lol
Love to all!

A word of caution for "cleansing" herbs and formulations:  many of them contain laxatives (senna, etc) and diuretics (uva ursi, etc).  These are both very dehydrating, causing copious amts. of fluid loss from the kidneys and bowels.  One of the things that make us feel lousy during w/d is severe dehydration. These herbs can put you in the danger zone---  disturbing your mineral and electrolyte balance.
In most cases, the drugs are only in your system for a week anyway, and are further metabolized without any help.
Herbs, although "natural", are not harmless-  they can have powerful effects on the body.  be careful.

Yeah, sometimes it would be nice to edit our own posts.
As far as any meds that a Dr prescribes. We each need to be responsible for our own health, interactions etc. It should go without saying but....

hehe.. I realized that I couldn't edit my post once I placed it.. lol
vitamin B and L-Tyrosine, as GoingToMakeIt said, definitely is good, but you have to literally check with a professional prior to taking it- to make sure it doesn't interact with other meds.. (I realized that after I posted it.. duh! lol.. I have my head on straight now, lol)
Thanks for additional info guys! I needed that and it fulfilled the post.. Love you all!

Alli, great advice and info here. You are on the right road.

As avisg said, watch the interactions with anti-depressants. L-Tyrosine, SamE even 5 HTP has to be taken with supervision if you are on anti-depressants.

Cranberry juice and Pomagranate juice are also VERY high in antioxicants....  Especially the pomagranate juice.  It's a little spendy but tastes delicious!  :)

Yes I totally agree about taking an antioxidant and eating healthy. The specialist I take my son to every 3 years said the best thing anyone can do for thier health is to be sure to pay attention to keeping antioxidant foods in your diet or take them in other forms pills teas etc.
Good info. thanks.
