The Cleansing Formula from GNC contains: I was wrong about the name, it's not complete cleansing, it's just 'cleansing formula'
(which is 'THANKFULLY' doesn't contain Senna leaf:
Psyllium Seed Husks Powder (750mg)
Lactobacillus acidophilus Blend (100mg)
Spirulina Powder (60mg)

Cranberry Concentrate (25mg)
Echinacea angustifolia Root Powder (25mg)
Aspergillus niger enzyme (15mg)
Aspergillus oryzae enzyme (15mg)
Rhizopus enzyme (15mg)

Chlorophyll (10mg)
Burdock Root Powder (10mg)
Sarsaparilla (Smilax) Powder (5mg)
No sugar, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, sodium free, no wheat, no gluten, no dairy, yeast free.
A unique combination of herbs, enzymes and acidophilus, NOT a laxative; only to maintain healthy immune system!
I know exactly what other products on the market do- literally dehydrate the heck out of ya, and are more harmful than any good!
This blend is actually formulated to safely and effectively maintain a healthy liver, kidney function, and immune system.
Hope that helps, guys.. I should have worded it a little better earlier.. lol
Love to all!
Alli
A word of caution for "cleansing" herbs and formulations: many of them contain laxatives (senna, etc) and diuretics (uva ursi, etc). These are both very dehydrating, causing copious amts. of fluid loss from the kidneys and bowels. One of the things that make us feel lousy during w/d is severe dehydration. These herbs can put you in the danger zone--- disturbing your mineral and electrolyte balance.
In most cases, the drugs are only in your system for a week anyway, and are further metabolized without any help.
Herbs, although "natural", are not harmless- they can have powerful effects on the body. be careful.
Yeah, sometimes it would be nice to edit our own posts.
As far as any meds that a Dr prescribes. We each need to be responsible for our own health, interactions etc. It should go without saying but....
hehe.. I realized that I couldn't edit my post once I placed it.. lol
vitamin B and L-Tyrosine, as GoingToMakeIt said, definitely is good, but you have to literally check with a professional prior to taking it- to make sure it doesn't interact with other meds.. (I realized that after I posted it.. duh! lol.. I have my head on straight now, lol)
Thanks for additional info guys! I needed that and it fulfilled the post.. Love you all!
Alli
Alli, great advice and info here. You are on the right road.
As avisg said, watch the interactions with anti-depressants. L-Tyrosine, SamE even 5 HTP has to be taken with supervision if you are on anti-depressants.
Cranberry juice and Pomagranate juice are also VERY high in antioxicants.... Especially the pomagranate juice. It's a little spendy but tastes delicious! :)

Yes I totally agree about taking an antioxidant and eating healthy. The specialist I take my son to every 3 years said the best thing anyone can do for thier health is to be sure to pay attention to keeping antioxidant foods in your diet or take them in other forms pills teas etc.
Good info. thanks.
Thank you guys for the great info. Its much appreciated!! :)
Almost forgot-
Thistle Milk- it's also in the Complete Cleansing system from GNC.. It brings back that normal function within the liver..:D
you are doing great ........ your post is fine :) i reminded people, thank you for sharing what your doctor said .

That's what he said, too.. you can't mix those.. (I actually meant to separate those.. but looks like I didn't.. I'll have to either EDIT that part, or delete it somehow and start over.. :D
thanks girl! lol.. I'm really glad you brought that to my attention! My mind isn't working properly this morning.. yada yada.. I'll 'get there' though, eventually!
Oh, and I took your advice! and it's working GREAT! I can't thank you enough! You're probably the most logical one I've listened to so far! lol.. love ya!
Alli
