Road to Recovery Starts Today

So I am on the last of my soboxone treatment after having a bad opiate addiction and ready to begin the road to recovery.  I tried once before but had a little stumble.  I have been reading these posts and can see how supportive everyone is and would just like to ask for everyone support.  I'll be joining a recovery group at my moms church but it would also be nice to share it with all of you.  I look forward to having my life back!!  I'll keep you all posted.

You've made a step in the right direction!  I, too, was on suboxone for a 6 week period.  Had a fairly strong habit of perc's, fetanyl and morphine for 5 years.  Suboxone was like a miracle drug for me, and I had no trouble tapering off of it.  Just don't try to use and do suboxone at the same time.  I, too, belong to a Celebrate Recovery group but found it wasn't strong enough.  I started attending an NA meeting which really addresses my problem.  Best of luck to you.

I'm feeling ok today.  I'm going to go workout and hopefully get my mind off of it.  I love this forum.  I couldn't wait to get up this morning and see all your responses.  I wish you all the best of luck as well.

Fergman,
I will keep it in mind if I don't feel the church recovery is enough.  Thanks for letting me know.

So I didn't take a suboxone yesterday and felt great.  Today I'm feeling a little sore.  Only took a quarter suboxone though.  I only have a quarter left and I'm tempted to get more from the Dr but I know that's not good.  I need to just get over the hump.

Wish me luck!!!
