"Rock Bottom"

I just wanted to say hi to everyone here!  Reading this forum has helped me so much.  I am on day #6!  It's amazing how I found this forum.  They say everything happens for a reason. I guess thats why we have to hit rock bottom, from there we can only go up.  God bless you all!

Shelby,  It's been a rough day but I made it.  Thank you for sharing. We all know this is a very difficult thing to do, especially cold turkey.  It's #4 for you and #7 days for me.  Hang tough!  Keep the faith.

Beachtowel,  Thanks for the welcome. My support will be this forum board.  I guess I have been in space.  When I google searched detoxing hydrocodone day before yesterday, I did not know that all the different website were here. I know that sounds crazy or just plain dumb on my part, but I really didn't know. It has really been an inspiration for me.  So when I feel weak, or feel like I am going to cave, I get back online and start reading again to remind myself just why I am here.

It's a brand new day and a brand new beginning.  Thank you Jesus!

I will look for that post.  Thank you for mentioning that and just to let you know I was taking Soma as well.  At night I would have to take 4 just to fall asleep.  At least coming off of those is nothing compared to the Vic's.

Good Bless You Nanny! :)

Hi Shelby,  Thanks so much for the encouraging words.  You hang in there, remember we can only go up.  In answer to your question...  The most recent addiction has been, hydrocodone 10/650, 7.5, 5.0, soma, lorazepam.  8-10 hydros a day, 10-16 soma not so much the lorazepam as the others.

In the archive of drug questions under the topic of, "Vicadin,Herion other Opiate Addictions",  I read a post from NeedAdviceLINY.

If you can find that post, it will give you a little bit more insight.

Stay strong, tomorrow is another day.. God Bless You!

Hi nanny.  Day six, I am so happy for you!  This board has helped me a lot over the years through my ups and downs.  I am currently on day #3.  I was taking a lower dosage then in the past and so far it has been bearable.  May I ask what you are taking?  At the peak of my drug use I was taking 15-20 10mg Vicodin.  Recently I was only taking 4 of those pills.  I just got so tired of depending on the medication to feel normal.  This time I have had it.  I found that keeping busy really helps.  I have to force myself at times but it takes your mind in a different positive direction.  I wish you all the best.
