Still alive and hanging out here in Canada. I find it strange to be 85. People come up to you and say things like,"Hey! I see you are still alive." I love the morons that say ,"Is that you?" Who did they think it was? People I haven't seen for a while seem so surprised that I have made it this far. I usually get,"What's your secret?"  I like to say, " Peter Popoff's miracle water."  Peter Popoff is that idiot television evangelist that morons believe is God's special agent. He says that miracles happen when you send for and drink this water he has had blessed by the almighty. Can you imagine drinking the water and finding your $150,000 mortgage or your over-extended credit card is suddenl paid for by a God sent miracle. His hall is filled by brain challenged people. This is whjat they believed ie. A 60 year old man who said he has been crippled all his life, unable to straighten up, walks with a cane and is in constant pain suudenly is cured whan Popoff toches his forehead and shouts,"Heal."  Suddenly, the sixty year old man throws away his cane, runs about twenty feet and performs a back flip all the while shouting,"Hallelujah, I am cured." Everyone in the hall throws their hands in the air and shout. Now they are ripe for the  picking and when Popoff's staff pass the basket it is filled with much, much cash and not one of these people have any doubts as to Popoff's link with the creator. If you have never seen the program you have to watch it. It is the best comedy on TV.

Hi Mike and Mangee:o) Nice to see you both well and clean. I am still around and in touch with many of the old timers from here. I am 17 months clean from opiates. It's been a rough ride with depression still popping in on me but the happiness that I feel is so worth staying clean for because it is real. My spirit is healing. Wishing all of you happiness in your recovery. Mangee, wouldn't it be awesome if we could have all taken a drink of water to get clean lol. Organized religion gets me a lil crazy too. All of our answers and and peace can only come from within us. Hey Mike, you rock buddy....2 years:o))

WoW congratulations on ur clean time.U all have quite a bit of time under ur belt.Im80days clean(main problem opiates also quit xanax along the way).Feeling great but my gaurd up right now.Ive been told by fellow members that a lot of members relapse@around3months because they felt.great&while there gaurd was down they relapsed(I have NO urge,craving etc) but I'm  told that won't matter.wrelapse.this soon!u all of.seem2b doin great!Keep me n ur prayers and hopefully I won't have cravings+will resist temptation if I.do.THANK-YOU SO MUCH4ALL UR.SUPPORT

That is true . I relapsed 4 times after months of clean time . You start to feel great . No anxiety Ect. and you fall right back into the trap ! Try and remember that Hell you went threw . So stay strong !!!!!

HEY EVERYONE ....to all on this post a big congrats weather you a day clean a week or a month or several years....keep in mind we all do this ...''just for today'' and do it by being senceable and working thew are issues it a life long process ....it works if you work it
for me it 6yr 3mo for alcohol weed and everything else recreational for methadone I still had a few more yrs of denile so got 659 day clean from that.....a big thank you goes out to all who help make medhelp and this forum successful see you all next month same place same time.....good luck to every body on there recovery.......Gnarly

I have been posting here for a few years but not as much anymore as I used to.   Time passes and addiction seems like a thing of the past...but i try to remember it is always there...and it can bite me in the butt when i least expect it!
