Roxi

I'm 19 years old and have been doing roxys everyday for about 4 weeks. Today was my first day not taking one. I had hot flashes and cold chills this morning but I was able to come home and go too sleep for a couple of hours. I was just wondering how long withdrawals will last since I haven't even been on them that long? Everybody these roxys are a waste of money and time don't ever try one!

Hi Mkn1992,

I'm so happy at your age you realized what GARBAGE this is to get yourself addicted to. you felt the nornmal signs of withdrawals chills, hot flashes, sleepiness...but you MAY start to feel a little just a little amount of withdrawals?? Everyone is different....but RIGHT now if you're able, get out and start a workout regimen...walking, running, biking...make sure to take a hot showers if you feel achy....try to keep your mind as BUSY as possible so as not to relapse!!
Fight any and cravings you may get ..remember if you get angry or mad don't resort to taking a pill...go for a walk and take deep breathes until you calm down... you are very smart,19 years old and your body can beat the SH_T outta this-But do continue with that great attitude... to never take another one again!!!!!!
I was 19 once and remember thinking "I'll just do this for fun ( whatever drug was IT back then) how bad can it REALLY be"??? Well how bad did it become.....I'm now 44 -- 25 years into my addiction and Finally figured out what I was doing to my body, my life, my family mostly.....so Ive been getting help for the last 6 months 3 weeks.....
Good luck and keep us posted on how you're feeling!! please?? You would be surprised how many of us you will give HOPE to when we hear/read of someone that took only 4 weeks to realize what a waste of your life and time taking Pain Meds for fun really is????
god bless and Keep UP the GREAT work!!

Hey Mkn1992,

I'm happy to hear you've decided to stop taking roxies. They are essentially a fast acting oxycodone and can be extremey addictive.  I wouldn't generally recommend to anyone to quit pills cold turkey because it can be dangerous. Withdrawal symptoms can very from person to person and you will probably experience some restlessness, anxiety and/or mild depression for a few days. I would suggest seeing a doctor, if you decide not to definitely see one if you experience any symptoms such as vomitting or light headedness. Take care of yourself you deserve it.
