SMOKING ANYONE HAVE EASY WAY TO QUIT

Well I'm a smoker the past 37 years. I have tried to quit so many times. I am extremely addicted to cigarettes. Does anyone know how to quit successfully?   I have had so many issues with health and emotional cigarettes always been there for me so to speak. Now after spending another night at ER due to bad asthma attack. I don't want to walk around with oxygen tank if i continue this stupid habit. Even having heart failure I never quit. When I was being evaluated for heart transplant I had to lie to them which is against my personal believe.
Anyway Help. Any and all suggestions are welcome

Hi
I have heart failure too. I found that e cigarettes helped me stop and I haven't touched a cigarette since six months (even smell makes me sick) I had a mate who I followed in her footsteps who smoked 40+ cigs a day and it took over her life (she is depressive, and they helped her cope) but she's free of cigarettes since the e cigarette. Have you tried this yet? She said she found other nicotine things like gum and patches never helped but everyone's different. Only thing is that I'm now addicted to the e cig but it's better than cigarettes. Maybe give these a try if u haven't already?

It is really hard. I stopped when it started giving me bad headaches every time I had one. Then I got sick and didn't smoke for 5 days. When I had one after it tasted so yuck I put it out and never picked one up again. But even 12 years later I still think about having one at times.

My mom quit when she had to hsve open heart surgery for a clogged artery. The Widow Maker one. She had smoked for over 50 years. She would've never stopped otherwise. She tried once and got horrible anxiety.

I know a couple people who used Chantix and it helped.

Have you given any thought to the Quit Plan?  My daughter used this program and i believe she got 1 month of the patches free.  She has now been smoke free for 18 months.  They have counselors that you talk with also which is part of the program.  She really liked that part of it and they had some great ideas for her.
